The wash just off the start line in Ensenada was flooded, and Sal Fish even told drivers at last night’s drivers meeting he wasn’t exactly sure whether trucks would be rerouted through the streets or tackle the wash. Just before the race, Fish decided to send drivers through the muddy wash, and he was even seen helping pump water out of large puddles just hours before the start. Other than some muddy vehicles and spectators lining the wash, most racecars appeared to have little trouble with the wash.

The motorcycles and ATVs left earlier this morning at 6 a.m., with leaders expecting to take somewhere just under 9 hours to complete the course.  The lead Trophy Trucks and Class 1 cars should take just over 9 hours and arrive later this evening.
