Kailub Russell Will Make Pro Motocross Debut at Red Bud

Jun. 30, 2010 By Press Release

Murrieta, CA – FMF/KTM XC2 GNCC Factory rider, Kailub Russell, will make his professional motocross debut in the 450 class at this weekend’s Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship round in Buchanan, MI.

Russell, the reigning GNCC XC2 Champion, has focused his professional career on off-road racing but has always retained his love for motocross. “I have practiced motocross to help my fitness for the GNCC races and over time I have finessed my skills in that discipline to earn my professional license,” commented Russell. “This race fits perfectly into my schedule as it takes place at the beginning of our two month break from the GNCC Series so I am eager to see how I will perform.”

Most critics will claim that the 450 class is a big step for a rider’s first professional motocross race, but Russell is excited about riding in the big bike class. “I have always felt that I was a stronger rider on the 450 and that is why I have chosen to sign up in the 450 class. I have a KTM 450 XC-F that I will be riding for this event. I practice on it at the local motocross tracks near my home and feel I can be competitive. I really don’t have any expectations for this weekend – my main goal is just to qualify and go from there.”

You can look for Kailub Russell on the #969 bike at the Red Bud National this weekend.
