Creamer heads toward the ATV MX Championship at Red Bud Motocross

Jul. 30, 2010 By Press Release
Buchanan, MI  - The 2010 ITP Tires/Moose Racing AMA ATV Motocross Championship Presented by Parts Unlimited is headed to world renowned Red Bud Motocross for Round 10 this weekend. Josh Creamer of Rockstar Makita Suzuki still continues to lead the field in points heading into the final two rounds in the chase for the championship. Creamer leads by 30 points over his teammate and two time defending champion, Dustin Wimmer. The 2010 Championship will come down to the last four motos and promise to be an exciting end to a season filled with intense competition.

The battle for the championship is set between Suzuki teammates Creamer and Wimmer. Creamer has had the season of his career, finishing top three every moto this season and truly owning the title as the man to beat. Wimmer, on the other hand, has had the most challenging year since he began racing, and is obviously struggling with each moto. Wimmer knows that he must have luck on his side at Red Bud in order to continue to be within sight of the championship. And as friendly as these teammates can be, Creamer is obviously hoping he can begin the celebrations.

Motoworks Can-Am rider John Natalie currently sits third in points heading into this weekend, but his teammate, Chad Wienen and Baldwin Motorsports/PEPS Josh Upperman are hoping to close the gap. Wienen and Upperman are tied with 269 points, trailing Natalie by only 13 points. Any three of these riders could each benefit tremendously for a third place in points in the 2010 season, which will translate into exciting racing at the Red Bud Motocross Track.

The event takes place at the legendary Red Bud Motocross in Buchanan, MI. The long and technical track surrounds a valley and utilizes the terrain to create sweeping turns, and some of the biggest jumps in motocross. The layout is fast and challenging, with many straight-aways and table tops.

Tickets on Sunday are $15 for fans ($10 for ages 5-11), and admission includes full pro pit access, and an autograph session.

The pro class will feature two 20-minute races on Sunday, taking place at noon and 3 p.m., with the combined scores of both races determining the overall winner.

The pro riders will run as part of a full schedule of amateur racing, including classes for Youth, Women and veteran riders. Amateurs will practice on Friday and race on Saturday and Sunday. Pros will practice on Saturday and race on Sunday.

The track is 5 miles north of US 12 on Redbud Trail in Buchanan, Michigan. For more information log on to http://www.atvmotocross.com/.
