Ontario, California, May 14, 2013 – Team ITP racers battled in both the 2013 Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship series and the World Off-Road Championship Series over the weekend and tallied numerous class victories and podium finishes. In Indiana at round four of the ATV MX series, ITP supported racers earned a total of 17 podiums, winning seven classes. The West Coast WORCS UTV racers tallied three podium finishes, including the SxS Production 850 class victory, using ITP tires at the Taft, California event.

“Our Team ITP racers had a wonderful time at the inaugural visit to Wildcat Creek MX in Indiana. Winning seven classes is a great accomplishment, especially at an all-new motocross track. Pro class racer Josh Creamer just missed another podium finish and continues to impress using ITP tires,” said Pat McGuire, Public Relations / Race Support. “Our WORCS UTV racers did a great job as well, winning the 850 production class and earning a spot on the highly competitive SxS Pro Production class.”

ROSSVILLE, Ind. - The ATVMX Pros left a statement at the series’ first-ever race at Wildcat Creek MX as Round 4 of the 2013 Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship, sanctioned by AMA, took to Rossville, Ind. With a fast rack, close racing and a full gate of pro riders, the inaugural event made for yet another exciting round of racing.

The Wildcat Creek MX track conditions were fast and smooth as the pros went out for the morning’s practice session where Joel Hetrick grabbed the ATVRiders.com Fastest Qualifier Award, taking first gate pick heading into the first moto.

Josh Upperman, aboard his Baldwin Motorsports PEP Upperman Racing machine, grabbed his first SSi Decals holeshot award of the 2013 season in moto 1. But it wasn’t long before Hetrick, who came out of the first turn in second place, found his way around Upperman to take over the lead. From there, Hetrick found a comfortable pace in front of the rest of the field and was able to maintain the lead in order to take the moto 1 win.

“I was really happy with my moto 1 win. I had a lot of fun out on the track and our team really had my machine working well,” said Hetrick.

Coming off of his podium finish at Round 3, John Natalie had another great start in moto 1, rounding the first turn inside the top five on his MotoSport.com Motoworks DWT machine. The 2011 National champ charged hard and made a quick pass on Upperman for the number two position. Trying to make up some ground on Hetrick, Natalie put his head down but was unable to match the speed of Hetrick, finishing second place in moto 1.

Morgantown, W.Va. – MX Sports Pro Racing and the ATVPG announce today the 2013 schedule for America’s most prestigious and longest standing ATV racing series – the AMA ATV Motocross National Championship Series. The ten-race series kicks off March 23 and 24 at Aonia Pass MX in Washington, Ga., and wraps up August 10 and 11 at Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.

The series will be returning to many of the ATV racing community’s favorite venues, while adding two more for 2013. Round 4 heads to Indiana’s hotbed of racing at Wildcat Creek MX, while Round 6 stops at Birch Creek Motorsports in Danville, Va.
