THUMB-2014-RM-Z450-6-17-13BREA, Calif. – Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (SMAI) continues its introduction of 2014 vehicles by announcing the 2014 RM-Z450 and RM-Z250. The company recently announced the expansion of the Suzuki Boulevard cruiser line.

For 2014, the Suzuki RM-Z450 and RM-Z250 feature updated ECM ignition programs that improve starting, as well as race-inspired Champion Yellow-and-black graphics to best fit each bike’s high-performance character. These upgrades show Suzuki’s continued commitment to the already-strong performance of its RM-Z450 and RM-Z250, facts proven in part by Cycle World magazine’s repeat acknowledgement of the RM-Z450 as Best Motocrosser in 2011 and 2012. And in 2013, both the RM-Z450 and RM-Z250 was chosen by Transworld MX as their bikes of the year. The RM-Z450 was also selected as the class-leader by RacerX.

BREA, Calif. November 6, 2012 – American Suzuki Motor Corporation (“ASMC” or “the Company”), the sole distributor in the continental United States of Suzuki Motor Corporation (“SMC”) automobiles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles and marine outboard engines, announced that it plans to realign its business to focus on the long-term growth of its Motorcycles/ATV and Marine divisions. Following a thorough review of its current position and future opportunities in the U.S. automotive market, ASMC will wind down and discontinue new automobile sales in the continental U.S. The Company has determined the best path to achieve this realignment in an efficient and orderly manner is to restructure its operations under chapter 11. The case will be filed in the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California in Santa Ana.

Consistent with ASMC’s long history of standing by its products, owners of Suzuki automobiles will be protected. All warranties will continue to be fully honored and automobile parts and service will be provided to consumers without interruption through ASMC’s parts and service dealer network.

American Suzuki Motor Corporation is offering Suzuki amateur motocross racers the chance to attend the first-ever Suzuki Camp Carmichael – a special riding school with legendary Motocross and Supercross racer Ricky Carmichael at his private training facility in Tallahassee, Florida.

The event is being run in conjunction with Suzuki’s recently-announced $4.2 million Motocross Contingency Program and scheduled for the week prior to the 2012 Winter National Olympics (Mini O’s). For racers that will be going to Mini O’s afterwards, there will be space reserved for Suzuki Camp Carmichael riders at Gatorback.

Said Carmichael: “I’m really excited to team up with Suzuki and have the opportunity to put together such a great program as Suzuki Camp Carmichael. Suzuki’s RM and RM-Z product is the best out there and the Camp is a great chance for riders of all ages to race, have fun, earn contingency and hone their skills at my track. I’m really looking forward to my upcoming Daytona Amateur Supercross event and the Suzuki Camp Carmichael later this year.”
