FULLERTON, CA. – Yokohama Tire Corporation-sponsored Cameron Steele won his first Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series event of the year, taking first in the Pro Buggy class at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park in Lake Elsinore, California, April 21-22.  Steele claimed victory riding on off-the-shelf Geolandar A/T-S+ tires.

“It was a tough race,” said Steele, the 2010 Pro Buggy champ, “but the Yokohama Geolandars did their job and helped secure the win for the Stronghold Motorsports Monster Energy/Yokohama Pro Buggy. They really handled the course well. Thanks to the team and Yokohama tires for all the help.”

“Great to see Cameron get his first win of the season,” said Duane Sampson, Yokohama’s motorsports manager. “He’s a seasoned veteran, ran a smart race and our Geolandar A/T-S tires never let him down.”The next Lucas Oil race in the eight-event series, which combines the Midwest tradition of short course off-road racing with a West Coast influence, is May 19-20 at Speedworld Off-Road Park in Surprise, Arizona.

SURPRISE, ARIZONA – Kyle LeDuc of Team Toyo® Off-Road, swept the Pro 4 Unlimited class this past weekend during rounds 11 and 12 of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Series at Speedworld Off Road Park in Surprise, Arizona.  In addition to winning first place during both Saturday and Sunday, he also set the fastest lap times both days.  This brings his Pro 4 Unlimited wins to four this year with his #99 Rockstar / Makita / Toyo Tires Ford F-150 running on Toyo® Open Country M/T®-R tires.

During qualifying on Friday, Kyle LeDuc was nearly a full second faster than the second place truck.  That dominance lasted throughout the Pro 4 Unlimited race on Saturday, resulting in the overall race win.  During Sunday’s Pro 4 race, brother, Todd LeDuc started on the pole with his #4 Rockstar / Makita / Toyo Tires Ford F-150 equipped with Toyo Open Country M/T-R tires.  Todd LeDuc immediately took the lead at the green flag, leading the race until the mandatory competition yellow flag.  Shortly after the restart, Todd LeDuc’s truck stood up on two-wheels in a turn, handing the lead over to his brother Kyle to win the race.  At the end, both LeDuc brothers stood on the podium, Kyle in first and Todd in third place.

“We went there to deliver a win for our sponsors and we went away with two wins, two fastest laps of the race and a top qualifier — now that’s how you have a good weekend,” said Kyle LeDuc.  “At Surprise, nobody went around that track faster at any point in any class than I did on my Toyo tires, now that’s making a statement!”

Also capturing a third place podium finish on Saturday was Jeremy McGrath driving his #2 Monster Energy / Ready LIFT / Toyo Tires Pro 2 Unlimited Ford truck running Toyo Open Country M/T-R tires.  McGrath fought a hard battle to ultimately move from the top five to capture his podium spot late in the race.

“Congratulations to Kyle LeDuc on scoring his sweep this weekend at Surprise, and to Todd LeDuc and Jeremy McGrath for their podium finishes,” said Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.  “Our Team Toyo drivers once again had a great weekend, being ‘driven to the podium’ with their Open Country M/T-R tires.”

Be sure to watch Sunday’s Round 12 Pro 4 Unlimited and Pro 2 Unlimited class races October 15 at 2pm EST/11am PST on CBS Sports.

ROCKSTAR Energy Drink’s Rob MacCachren put on a driving clinic during the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) first stop at Speedworld Off Road Park in Surprise, Arizona earlier this year.  Since that time, the reigning Pro2 Unlimited champion has experienced his share of ups and downs, and was looking to regain the dominance he is famous for with the return to Surprise last weekend.  The ROCKSTAR Energy Drink was flowing as thirsty fans overcame the triple digit heat at Speedworld to watch MacCachren qualify third last Friday, which put him on the first row for Saturday’s main event.

When the green flag dropped for Saturday’s main event, MacCachren lost a drag race to Brian Deegan and slipped into the second place position.  The No. 1 ROCKSTAR Energy / BFGoodrich Tires / MasterCraft Safety truck maintained that position for the entire race, fending off multiple pass attempts by Rodrigo Ampudia and Jeremy McGrath in the process.  Rob Mac was able to close the gap on fellow ROCKSTAR athlete Deegan in the turns, but a power steering issue kept MacCachren from ever being able to take the lead.  Most racers would be satisfied with a second place podium finish, but MacCachren’s team has been fine tuning in order to get back to the front of the pack.

Sunday MacCachren started on the second row in a battle that proved to be even more exciting than Saturday’s Pro2 Unlimited race.  Trucks were bumper to bumper through the first several laps, with MacCachren in third place behind Greg Adler and Rodrigo Ampudia.  After a remarkable crash involving multiple trucks brought out the red flag, Adler pulled into the hot pits and Rob Mac moved up to second place.  There was still a lot of racing left though and Ampudia opened up a sizeable lead while MacCachren fended off Robert Naughton on the slippery, wet track.  Rob’s BFGoodrich tires held his lines perfectly though and stayed out of the ruts that caused other drivers to bicycle through the turns and lose track position.  When Ampudia faltered late in the race, the patient MacCachren pushed the No. 1 ROCKSTAR Energy / BFGoodrich Tir es / MasterCraft Safety truck past him in Turn 2 and never looked back, winning his fourth race of the season.

By once again dominating the competition at Speedworld, MacCachren has moved into second place in season points with three races remaining.  A rare break in his schedule takes MacCachren to Pomona on October 7th, where he is being inducted into the Off Road Motorsports Hall of Fame prior to the Off Road Expo.  Then on the weekend of October 8-9, Rob’s No. 20 Jimco SCORE Trophy Truck will be on display in the BFGoodrich booth at the Off Road Expo, and Rob will also be leading half hour technical seminars on both days at 11 AM and 2 PM in the BFG booth, with autograph signings for half an hour after each seminar.  This is a rare opportunity to learn from one of off-road racing’s all time best, and one that you absolutely will not want to miss.  From there Rob continues to battle for season points in LOORRS, TORC, and SCORE with the end of the s eason rapidly approaching.  For the latest Rob MacCachren updates follow him on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/21RobMac.

Rialto, CA - Rodeo Ford of Goodyear, Arizona joins Chad George in the SuperLite Championship for the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series at Speedworld Off-Road Park in Surprise Arizona on April 16-17.

Dodge Earnhardt, owner of Rodeo Ford commented, “We’re excited to be apart of Chad’s racing program this weekend, he already has a great start this season, and winning is what Rodeo Ford wants to be associated with. Combining our dealership, known for decades of outstanding service and great pricing, with a champion was an easy decision and a perfect fit.

I had the opportunity to personally race a SuperLite truck last season, it’s A LOT of FUN and it’s a real drivers class. The SuperLite program is top-notch and the Lucas Oil Off-Road fans know how to pack the house.”

Chad takes his #42 Kawasaki/Yokohama SuperLite into Round 3 of the LOORRS SuperLite Championship with 3rd place in the points championship. With Rounds 3 and 4 in Surprise, AZ he has the opportunity to move up 2 spots on the leader board, keeping him in contention for the title.

“During rounds 1 and 2 at Firebird Raceway we made adjustments and battled to put our Kawasaki/Yokohama SuerLite truck toward the front. After some more tuning in the shop, we think the #42 will be the truck to beat at Speedworld Off-Road Park. Rodeo Ford picked a great time to join the party!” said Chad George.
