As somewhat of a preview to the Stadium Super Trucks race Friday evening after the 2013 SEMA Show concludes, Team Toyo Off-Road brought out some of its notable off-road racers to host a demo this week called the Team Toyo Truck-Off. Slated as an event with “no money, no champagne, no trophy,” the racers hopped behind their Stadium Super Trucks and still drove like they were in a real competition, giving the SEMA crowd, some of whom had never seen off-road race trucks in action, a demonstration of just what they could do on the Ford Out Front track in front of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

On Friday, November 8, 2013, taking part simultaneously with the automotive industry’s premier trade show, SEMA, Las Vegas history will once again be made as the SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks event (SST) makes its way to Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip.

The race track for this special one-day only event will be constructed in front of Caesars Palace. High-flying SST trucks will propel past The Colosseum and through the Caesars Palace marquee. Fans will be thoroughly entertained as the high horse-powered SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks battle door-to-door, drifting around the seven-turn asphalt racecourse and flying over specially constructed metal ramps.

Sheldon-Creed-Stadium-Super-Trucks-9-23-13Costa Mesa, Calif. – The finale of the 2013 Sands Sport Super Show would feature round No. 13 of the SPEED Energy Stadium Super Trucks competition along with Stock and Modified Side x Side’s, 450 and Modified Trophy Kart’s all racing on the temporary constructed asphalt/ dirt and sand race course.

Just as the two days previous, Stadium Super Trucks, would take to the track for two practice sessions, beforethe best of 2-laps qualifying session. Justin Lofton continued where he left off the night before laying down the quickest lap of the weekend.

Sunday afternoons final would see a six-car invert with Apdaly Lopez pacing the 18-lap SST final to green. Lopez would lead lap-1 followed by Sheldon Creed and Keegan Kincaid.

As gorgeous weather conditions surrounded the Toronto area for the second day in a row, the encore presentation of SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks took to the temporary constructed street course of the Honda Indy Toronto for Round No. 8 of competition.

The starting line-up for the 8-lap SST Final would be determined by a complete invert of the fastest times from Saturday’s Round No. 7. After the inversion Toronto, native, Paul Tracy would find himself starting from the pole position to the inside of Scottsdale, Ariz., driver, P.J. Jones.

As near perfect weather conditions invaded Toronto, ON., the highly anticipated Round No. 7 of SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks took to the temporary constructed street course of the Honda Indy Toronto for race one of the doubleheader event weekend.

The starting line-up for the 8-lap SST Final would be determined by a complete invert of qualifying times from Saturday morning practice. At the conclusion of the 8-minute practice session, Sheldon Creed would navigate through the 11 turns and over the four metal jumps of the 1.75-mile course the quickest of the 8 competitors with a lap of 1:33:209, over a second faster than second place, P.J. Jones with a 1:34:658.

The Inaugural season of SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks continues Saturday night, May 18, with the return to Qualcomm Stadium for Round No.5 competition, with a slew of racing divisions plus the newly added SUPERMoto bikes. All taking place on a brand new course set to test the driver’s skill and endurance.

Robby Gordon, Larry Swim, and Jerry Whelchel were able to conquer the multiple challenges to record wins in Round No. 3 of SST Competition.

The 20-Lap SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks final began from a staggered start and saw first place starter Gordon jump out to the early lead. Entering turn 1, third place starter Ricky Johnson of El Cajon, Calif., opted to test the cross-over option for a chance to take the over the lead. Not going as planned Johnson’s evening quickly came to an abrupt end as a flat tire resulted in getting him off course in the middle of the peristyle. Trouble also found Jeff Ward on the opening lap as he became stuck in the sand step-up resulting in losing multiple laps to the leader.
