SCORE-Logo-12-5-11RENO, Nev., USA — Mexico’s popular Gus Vildosola Jr, of Mexicali, who won the battle of attrition to capture the overall and SCORE Trophy Truck victory at the Rigid Industries SCORE Imperial Valley 250, presented by the city of El Centro, Calif., will be spotlighted during Sunday’s premier telecast of the race on the CBS Sports Network. The debut of the one-hour special will air on the CBS Sports Spectacular show at 9 p.m. (ET) on Sunday, followed multiple additional scheduled airings of the popular programming.

Round four of the five-race 2015 SCORE World Desert Championship started and finished in the Coyne Powersports Motorplex near Plaster City, Calif., 80 miles east of San Diego. The race featured classes for cars, trucks, UTVS, motorcycles and quads. They came from 17 U.S. States and four countries and endured temperatures that approached 110 degrees Fahrenheit.

Returning to SoCal for the third time in two years, Round 4 of the five-race 2015 SCORE World Desert Championship will be held just west of El Centro, Calif., and approximately 100 miles east of San Diego.

SCORE-imperial-valley-250-logo-8-10-15RENO, Nev., USA — Moving from its Springtime date last year, the internationally-televised Rigid Industries SCORE Imperial Valley 250, presented by the City of El Centro, will be held next month as Round 4 of the five-race 2015 SCORE World Desert Championship. Returning to SoCal for the third time in two years, the race will be held Sept. 24-27 just west of El Centro, Calif. and approximately 100 miles east of San Diego.

Presented by the City of El Centro, the race will be held near Plaster City partially on 41,000 dedicated acres in an off-highway vehicle use area under the jurisdiction of the El Centro field office of the Bureau of Land Management. The area for the race is also located immediately west of the Naval Air Facility El Centro and is approximately 17 miles west of El Centro off of Interstate 8 (I-8).

— Already with a total of five airings confirmed, Round 2 of the 2014 SCORE World Desert Championship will debut this Sunday at 6 p.m. (PT) with a one-hour CBS Sports Spectacular special on the CBS Sports Network.

SCORE International announced in February that CBS Sports Network will televise the entire five-race 2014 SCORE World Desert Championship series. Each one-hour telecast will air approximately one month following each event, starting with this Sunday’s telecast of the Inaugural SCORE Imperial Valley 250 desert race.

Round 2 of the five-race 2014 SCORE World Desert Championship series, the SCORE Imperial Valley 250, was held this past Saturday in Plaster City, Calif.

Celebrating its 41st season in 2014 as the World’s Foremost Desert Racing Organization, this week’s race will be taped for airing in the United States and Canada as a one-hour special on the CBS Sports Network. The first of a minimum of two broadcasts of the race is scheduled to air on Sunday, June 15 at 6 p.m. PT. Commentator for the national television show will be SCORE Trophy Truck racer and TV action sports commentator Cameron Steele. The race will also air internationally in over 100 countries through an international distributor.
