SCORE-Logo-12-20-11RENO, Nev. — SCORE International, based in Reno, has announced the removal of the 2014 SCORE Reno 500 desert race from its SCORE World Desert Championship series for this year, citing a number of issues that could not be resolved prior to presenting the first SCORE race in Reno this coming July. SCORE, starting its 41st year in 2014, is recognized as the world’s foremost desert racing organization.

“The SCORE Reno 500 has been removed from this year’s schedule because of several mitigating circumstances that would not be able to be resolved in time to guarantee the overall quality event that is necessary for SCORE International,” commented Roger Norman, SCORE CEO and President. “We are committed to the vision of having a SCORE race in Reno in the future but we must be able to assure our racer community and sponsors that it will be of the same quality as is recognized around the world for SCORE.”
