GNCC-Racing-Logo-4-17-13MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – RacerTV returns in 2013 with coverage of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series and the Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship. This year’s platform features a 15-week television package on NBC Sports Network, as well as a full-schedule of racing on RacerTV.com – all brought to viewers by this year’s television sponsors AMSOIL, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC and Can-Am.

This year’s 15-week television package on NBC Sports Network begins this weekend, April 14 and runs through November. NBC Sports Network will air 13 episodes of GNCC Racing, as well as an additional two episodes of ATV Motocross Nationals.

Russell-GNCC-Off-Road-3-18-13WASHINGTON, Ga. – Only five days after going to battle in the sandy woods of Southern Florida, Factory FMF/KTM teammates Kailub Russell and Charlie Mullins put in yet another three-hour duel at Sunday’s Maxxis General GNCC. This time, it was Russell who grabbed the win over Mullins by less than two seconds at Round 2 of the 2013 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series.

AmPro Yamaha’s Paul Whibley got off to a great start, grabbing the All Balls Racing XC1 Holeshot Award. Meanwhile, Russell got caught in a first corner crash and began the race in the back of the pack. Whibley led Mullins, Russell and the rest of the field into the woods but the remainder of the day didn’t go quite as planned for the 2012 champ.

GNCC-Mullins-3-13-13River Ranch, Fla. (March 12, 2013) – Factory FMF/KTM’s Charlie Mullins topped a stacked field of riders at the 2013 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country season opener in River Ranch, Florida. The win wasn’t exactly handed to the 2011 GNCC champion, though, as teammate Kailub Russell and former XC1 champ Josh Strang and Paul Whibley contested Mullins throughout the full three-hour battle, presenting a lethal combination of some of the roughest and highest speed terrain on the 13-race circuit. XC2 Pro Lites winner Andrew DeLong made waves from the second row, finishing fifth overall in front of an exciting battle for second between reigning XC2 champ Jason Thomas and Pro Motocross star Zach Osborne.

The Moose Racing Westgate River Ranch GNCC historically kicks off the GNCC season in a big way, taking place just a couple hours south of the infamous Daytona Bike week festivities. But perhaps more importantly is the fact that the season opener also serves as an industry hub for all types of off-road racing to meet up for a spectacular weekend of cross-country racing, scouting and networking.

Additionally, RacerTV.com will feature premier off road championships such as the WORCS Series and the OMA Nationals. Currently, the 5-round CMC Golden State MX Nationals are being broadcast on RacerTV.com.

“We are extremely pleased to be able to bring these premiere events to our RacerTV online audience,” said Tim Cotter, spokesperson for RacerTV. “We are open to broadcasting all off-road and motocross events on the network and have reached out to other premiere race series in hopes that we can bring their great racing action to RacerTV.com.”

Over the next few weeks, the RacerTV.com website will undergo a major overhaul as the new platform and features are upgraded. “We’re really excited about this new project for the Racer Media House,” continued Cotter. “We want RacerTV.com to be the ‘go to site’ for television-quality produced ATV and motorcycle race action, and we want to bring this quality to all race fans for all series, not only the events we produce,” said Cotter.

Veteran motorsports broadcast specialist, Carey Bohn of Mainstream Media Group, has been commissioned to develop the live streaming production infrastructure, show programming format and on-line viewer platform. The live race coverage will utilize technology and technical support from TodoCastTV of San Juan Capistrano, Calif. and UK-based BoxxTV

“RacerTV will be using state-of-the-art satellite and television components to stream each GNCC event,” Bohn said. “Including testing a remote camera system that will allow the on-site team to do live coverage from several wooded locations along the race course.”
