The Specialty Equipment Marketers Association (SEMA) show is the largest automotive trade show in the world, and over 100,000 people descend on Las Vegas each year to see the latest products and vehicle builds. RIGID was among thousands of automotive equipment manufacturers that debuted new products and accessories at the show, all ofwhich were judged by several different organizations and criteria. During the 2016 SEMA Show three new RIGID products were awarded for their quality, innovation, and appeal by members of the media and industry experts.
Rigid just unveiled a new compact light with its new D-SS, or Dually Side Shooter LED pod. Designed for any application that requires a wide spread beam, including A-Pillars, Fog Lights, and motorcycle applications. Rigid says the D-SS pod incorporates the same powerful optics and “legendary LED technology” used in its popular D-Series lights, with the main difference being the use of additional LEDs aimed to the side for a much broader beam.
Rigid Industries recently announced a promotion for up to $250 rebate on the purchase of certain LED grilles. The promotion will run until April 30th, 2016, and the qualifying models are listed below.
With the help of off-road champion and Recoil viral video series star “Ballistic” BJ Baldwin (@BjBaldwin), Rigid Industries is launching its all-new Midnight Edition lights which sport a “blacked-out” look.
Rigid Industries, a leader in forward projecting LED lighting, partnered with Osram Opto Semiconductors to provide tough, extreme tested products for its new off-road night vision lighting series – the E- and SR-series. These new Rigid infrared (IR) night vision lights complement the full line of Rigid’s visible LED off-road lights. Both versions feature Osram’s high quality, high reliability, infrared LEDs (IRED) and visible LEDs.
The new night visions systems from Rigid feature IR Oslon Black LEDs, supplied by Osram Opto Semiconductors because they are similarly tough with superior reliability. IR Oslon Black delivers IR illumination for night vision operation and, with more than 1W at 1A total optical flux, it is the most powerful single chip, high power IRED available today.
MASSILLON, Ohio – A.R.E. Accessories now offers Rigid Industries’ E-Series LED Light Bars as optional equipment on their fiberglass MX Series truck caps, which are available for most current model year pickup trucks in all cab and bed configurations. The MX Series cap sports an aerodynamic raised roof design, providing extra headroom and storage capacity, and has a full walk-in door option for easy rear access.
A.R.E. designed a black powder coated aluminum bracket to fit inside the recessed area located in front of the MX Series fiberglass cap for optimum light bar placement. The light bracket features the A.R.E. logo on both ends with the A.R.E. insignia across the face plate. The light bar will be factory installed with no exposed wiring, and the on/off light switch can be mounted by the truck’s dash or on a roof console. Rigid E-Series LED Light Bars can be easily retrofitted to any existing A.R.E. MX Series truck cap.
San Bernardino, CA – In a season that few would call anything less than amazing, Rigid Industries Torture Team member Kyle LeDuc continued his winning streak taking his seventh and eighth consecutive victories in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Pro-4 class. It has been anything but easy for Kyle but when it counts, he’s been the first to the checkered flag, again and again.
Reno, NV – Rigid Industries Torture Team members had guns blazing at rounds 5 and 6 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series held on what many say is the fastest track on the schedule, Wild West Motorsports Park in Reno, Nevada. Huge elevation changes on the track allow gravity to hurl the drivers into the corners at the bottom of the hills. Like every round of the series, there was plenty of door to door action and incredible driving skills on display. Some were able to perform miraculous saves; others were not as lucky.
Ridgecrest, CA – Rigid Industries racers powered through the dust and rocks at the HDRA King Shocks 250 in Ridgecrest, ca. to take the overall victory, three additional wins and several podium finishes. The overall victory and Trophy Truck class win went to the Green Army truck of Justin Davis. Justin used sound strategy to put him in position to win. He started seventh off the line and put in a blistering first lap when the traffic ahead was light. As the laps wore down, traffic, and the thick dust on course, continued to increase. He made his way to the front running second on the road behind the Terrible Herbst truck. Second on the road but first on corrected time, Justin did not want to risk a pass in the rocky terrain so he followed the Herbst truck to the finish line taking the win.
