Ricky-Carmichae-2014-Arenacross-12-30-13lAURORA, Ill. – Five-time Monster Energy Supercross Champion Ricky Carmichael shares his thoughts on the excitement surrounding the 2014 AMSOIL Arenacross season and the first official year of the Ricky Carmichael Road to Supercross.

“Last year’s AMSOIL Arenacross series was unbelievable coming down to the last race in Denver, man it was something exciting” said Carmichael. “With all of the amateur riders competing this year in the Road to Supercross, it’s going to be more unpredictable than ever”

ricky-carmichael-off-road-12-23-13MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The 5th Annual Monster Energy Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross once again returns to Daytona International Speedway in 2014 for the biggest two-day amateur supercross event on the planet. Following Saturday night’s Daytona Supercross by Honda, amateur racing kicks off Sunday, March 9 and continues on Monday, March 10, offering classes for racers of all ages and skill levels.

“It’s hard to believe that we’re approaching our fifth year of amateur supercross on the storied grounds of Daytona International Speedway,” said Tim Cotter, director of MX Sports. “With the help of 15-Time Champion Ricky Carmichael, we’ve built a supercross track that is suitable for all ages and skill levels, while offering that historic element of competing on the same course that the best athletes in the world competed on the night before.”

With nearly 1,000 entries last year, RCSX will once again offer two full days of amateur racing-featuring longer laps and practice time, with more class options to give racers even more track-time over the course of the weekend. Due to the expansion of racing, Ricky Carmichael University will not take place in Daytona this year.

AMA-Motorcycle-Hall-3-15-12PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame is pleased to announce that a number of rare, one-of-a-kind bikes with ties to its newest inductees will be on display at the 2013 AMA Legends Weekend, presented by Husqvarna, at the Green Valley Ranch Resort in Las Vegas, Nev., Friday and Saturday, Oct 18-19. Monster-Energy-Cup-Track-9-27-13AURORA, Ill. – Feld Motor Sports® unveiled today the track design for the Monster Energy Cup that will take place at Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium on October 19. Designed by five-time Monster Energy Supercross Champion Ricky Carmichael, this year’s Monster Energy Cup track will be so massive that the stadium itself can’t contain it.

The feedback from riders and fans alike was that last year’s Monster Energy Cup track provided some of the sport’s best racing, so the goal this year was to amplify the existing model. It was a simple solution for Carmichael: Use most of last year’s track elements and reverse the layout.

“The Monster Energy Cup track layout has continued to be on the challenging side and host great racing,” said defending Monster Energy Cup Champion Justin Barcia. “Carmichael always comes up with interesting concepts and ideas that blend motocross and supercross elements, so to hear the 2013 track layout has been reversed from last year’s design brings a whole new level of uniqueness to this race.”
