Loanmart-Elsinore-Lucas-5-15-13Lake Elsinore, CA – Every track in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing series has its own unique character. The Track in Lake Elsinore, California is dominated by a very steep take off ramp that leads to a huge table-top jump that dominates the center of the track. When the wind blows across the lake, it can get downright scary. Get it right and you become a fan favorite. Misjudge the take-off and you have a long time to think about it before you come down.

Speaking of coming down, If you have not had a chance to meet the LoanMart team in person, they will be attending the LoanMart pre-race party at the Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery at 26520 Ynez road in nearby Temecula on Thursday, May 16th at 6:00 p.m. The team will have tons of swag and be on hand to sign autographs and meet the fans. Corry Weller will raffle off a full door from her Pro4 race truck. “I’m really looking forward to the pre-party, especially since LoanMart is putting so much into it… AND it’s at the Tilted Kilt,” says Corry, “I am really looking forward to Elsinore. We made some changes to the truck, I can’t wait to see how we do out there!” The Tilted Kilt will have plenty of great food and drinks. In addition to all the fun, Master Splinter and the Shredders will be playing live music.

Lucas-Oil-Loanmart-5-2-13Las Vegas, NV – The LoanMart Racing Team underwent a major expansion in 2013 adding Austin Kimbrell’s Pro2, Corry Weller in Pro4 and Oscar Rodriguez, RJ Anderson and Ryan Beat in the Prolite class. The entire driver line-up has years of racing experience but it is also a season of firsts for the team. Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Rounds 3 and 4 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway showed what they are capable of when they are firing on all cylinders.

After qualifying eighth for round 3, Corry Weller took her first Pro4 podium of the season by holding off a hard charging Eric Barron for the third spot. While Rob MacCachren and Carl Renezeder were fighting for the lead, Corry was in a tense battle; banging doors for two laps with Barron. The poise and determination she has demonstrated throughout her racing career was once again on display and her truck was hooked up despite the punishment. The crowd went crazy when she beat Barron to the line.

For Austin Kimbrell the first rounds of the series have been filled with frustration. In pre-season testing, he was very fast in his LoanMart Pro2 but ill-timed driveline issues have taken him out of the running on raceday. In round 3, he lost a motor causing his crew to work through the night to prepare for round 4 qualifying. The hard work paid off when Austin took the truck out and qualified third for Sunday’s race.

Kyle-LeDuc-Pro-2-5-1-13On Friday April 26th, JCRI and Kyle Leduc debuted their brand new Pro2 to the Lucas Oil Series. It would be the first time Kyle Leduc would race in this class and a first for JCRI as well, as they have never built a pro2 before. The first testing session before the big race weekend in Las Vegas, NV was well underway when the JCRI team breathed a sigh of relief to see the new #98 Pro2 and keeping up with the top drivers. With a few minor changes to the truck they were ready for the weekend.

With a stacked Pro2 class, Kyle would have to work hard to get a top spot for qualifying. 16 Pro2′s ran for 5 minutes as they all were still trying to get a feel for the new track changes. Kyle would qualify 13th for Saturday’s race.
