For off-road dirt bike fans, the Apple app market has a new addition you might be interested to know about. Mad Skills Motocross is an arcade-style racing game just released, which the developers noted claimed the top spot in the competitive games/racing category in the USA and Sweden on its first day on Monday, January 10th, 2011.

Aside from competing against friends, it also feature a social-sharing aspect that allows players to share game info across Twitter and Facebook. The new game is available for the iPhone, iPod Touch and the new iPad. It looks like a blend of old-school Nintendo game ExcitBike with modern tricks and physics.

Off-road race fans looking to get in some race action while waiting at the doctor’s office or just killing time will want to check out the new Trophylite Rally application for iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. Players can race with with the Lincoln Electric rally truck in the game, as Lincoln Electric has partnered with TROPHYLITE and 2XL Games as an official sponsor. The game features a virtual Lincoln Electric rally truck and trackside banners sporting the company’s logo.

A few weeks back, we published a story in the Off-Road.com Blog about a new video game launched at the E3 gaming tradeshow called Off-Road Drive. The game, which will be available for Xbox 360 and PCs, just launched its new website today, featuring game trailer and information about the game and its features.

As the website explains, “Off-Road Drive features Off-Road Drive lets players participate in various international competitions never seen before in a video game. All virtual contests are the exact duplicates of the real ones, including various extreme driving and use of the rules established by the international auto sports federations.”
