The new half-ton Titan was unveiled this years a 2017 model, and for the upcoming Chicago Auto Show Nissan Motorsports built a one-off, blacked-out Titan Pro-4X Crew Cab model to highlight a host of cool Nissan Genuine Parts and Accessories.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – To raise awareness for proper tire care and maintenance, Nissan is celebrating National Tire Safety Week from May 29 to June 4 by reminding vehicle owners of the significant role tires play in keeping them safe on the road.
Research conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration1 indicates a tire that is 25 percent below its recommended pressure is almost three times more likely to be involved in a tire-related crash than a properly inflated tire. Low tire inflation also costs vehicle owners money over the long term in reduced fuel economy and premature tire wear.
Rev up the look, sound and performance of the full-size Nissan Titan pickup truck with the addition of a Dual Sport NISMO performance exhaust system. The NISMO cat-back system will add 11.0 horsepower and 8.0 pound-feet of torque at the rear wheels and is emissions legal in all 50-states.
Designed to produce less backpressure than the factory exhaust system, the Dual Sport NISMO exhaust system also delivers a more aggressive performance exhaust note. The sound is deeper and throatier than stock. Audio of the exhaust sound can be heard at the Nissan-USA NISMO website (http://www.nissanusa.com/nismo) where you can also download a ringtone of the Titan revving and accelerating.
LAKE FOREST, CA – The beginning of the 2012 season just isn’t shaping up the way it was supposed to for eight-time champ Carl Renezeder. Both of his Nissan Titan Pro-2 and Pro-4 race trucks have shown moments of brilliance, but the team has struggled to get to the point of battling for a win in the closing laps of the first four rounds of the year.
“It kind of feels like walking the wrong direction on moving walkway,” analyzed Renezeder. “I know I’ll eventually get to the other end, but it’s taking twice as much effort and time. We’ll get this all figured out. It’s just been frustrating that each time we resolve an issue, a new one seems to pop up. But, it’s all part of the racing process, and we’re grateful to be in the game.”
Rounds three and four of the 15-race Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series season were held this past weekend at the newly renovated Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park in Southern California. Race fans and high temperatures showed up in abundance, and Renezeder’s trucks opened the weekend well with a fourth place and first place qualifying effort in Pro-2 and Pro-4, respectively.
LAKE FOREST, CA – Carl Renezeder begins the fourteenth year of his short-course off-road career with a contest for his fans to win a ride-along with the legend himself. With 97 wins in his record book, the countdown to Renezeder’s hundredth career win is well underway on his social networking sites (links are below), and fans are jumping at the chance to fly through the air and throw some dirt with The Man.
“Not only has Nissan come back to our program, but they’ve launched the partnership in a huge way,” explained Renezeder, who will run Nissan Titan trucks in both the Pro-2 and Pro-4 classes in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. “They’re giving fans a chance to climb in our two-seater truck with me – I can’t wait to give someone the ride of their life!”
Renezeder’s team has spent the short off-season making sure the hundredth win happens sooner rather than later. Crew chief Bill Smith has been fine-tuning and refining the trucks front to back, from suspension to drivetrain, giving Renezeder trucks that will be powerful, nimble, predictable and flat out fast.
“We continually worked on these trucks throughout last season, and with the progress we’ve also made this off-season, we feel more confident in our program than ever,” commented Renezeder.
If you’re an avid off-roader and you want an exhaust system, chances are you have run into some issues making some setups fit. Magnaflow recently introduced a new product that we had a chance to check out at the 2010 SEMA show designed to address this issue call the Off-Road Pro-Series Exhaust (ORPS) that is specifically designed to work on trucks and Jeeps with heavily modified suspension.
