Dew ATV Motocross National Championship Series, sanctioned by AMA, on August 10 and 11 in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. Although the 2013 Pro Class National Championship has been wrapped up by Chad Wienen, the nation’s fastest riders on four-wheels will be holding nothing back to take the last win of the season and carry the momentum into the offseason.

The recently crowned Wienen is looking to end the season with a bang and extend his winning streak to eight in a row for his Wienen Motorsports SSi Walsh Yamaha presented by Maxxis Tires & Team Vollmer team. Wienen has taken the overall win at eight of the nine events so far this season and looks to make it nine this weekend.

Wienen Motorsports SSi Walsh Yamaha presented by Maxxis Tires & Team Vollmer rider Thomas Brown has had his most successful Pro Class performance in 2013, as he currently sits in second in overall championship points. Brown has a twenty-two-point lead on the rider in third and has only missed the podium twice this season. Brown will be looking to come on strong at Loretta Lynn’s and hopes to finally find the top spot on the podium.

This weekend RedBud MX in Buchanan, Mich. hosted Round 9 of the 10-race series and it proved to be no different as the series crowned Chad Wienen the 2013 Pro National Champion after going 1-1 for the overall win of the weekend.

After going 1-1 for the day, Wienen not only took his eighth overall win of the season but secured his second consecutive National Championship a round early aboard his Wienen Motorsports SSi Walsh Yamaha presented by Maxxis Tires & Team Vollmer machine.

Dew ATV Motocross National Championship Series, sanctioned by AMA, winds down, the circuit heads to the legendary RedBud MX in Buchanan, Mich. this weekend, July 27 and 28, for Round 9 of the 10-race series. This Saturday, the nation’s top pros will go to battle for the overall win in the Pro Class, but points leader Chad Wienen has his sights set on capturing a second consecutive championship at the penultimate round of racing.

Illinois native Chad Wienen will once again perform in front of his hometown family and friends on the familiar Midwest terrain aboard his Wienen Motorsports SSi Walsh Yamaha presented by Maxxis Tires & Team Vollmer machine. Wienen won the 2012 National Championship after returning to action only nine months after undergoing back surgery in June of 2011. Since then, Wienen has bounced back to claim seven of the eight overall wins in 2013, where he holds a commanding lead over the rest of the field heading into Round 9.

Dew ATV Motocross National Championship Series, sanctioned by AMA. Defending Champion, Chad Wienen secured his sixth consecutive overall win as Josh Creamer and John Natalie returned to the podium in New York.

“I’m so thankful for the season I’ve been having so far it’s been a lot of hard work and dedication. Holding onto the red points lead plate at the end of each race weekend is what keeps me motivated as we wind down on the season,” said Wienen.

Zakowski-Maverick-Off-Road-7-12-13Valcourt, Québec – Can-Am Maverick 1000R X rs pilots Kyle Chaney and Zak Zakowski each earned overall racing victories this past weekend. Chaney dominated the QR1 class at round six of the UTV Rally Raid Northern Series in Tennessee. Zakowski won two classes and the UTV race overall in the Iowa ATV Hare Scramble Series. At round seven of the 2013 Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship Series, DS 450 racer Travis Spader won two classes, while Nick Gennusa earned his first career Pro-Am class podium finish aboard his Can-Am.

I was thrilled by Zac Zakowski’s double victory in Iowa, which included his first official UTV overall with his new Maverick 1000R X rs,” said Jimmie O’Dell, Race Manager, Can-Am. “We had tougher luck and spotty weather at round seven of the ATV MX Nationals, but I was excited for Nick Gennusa’s moto-one victory and first career Pro-Am class podium finish.”

Dew ATV Motocross National Championship Series, sanctioned by AMA, will return to racing this weekend, July 13 and 14, at historically Unadilla Raceway in New Berlin, N.Y. The second half of the season is well underway as Unadilla hosts Round 8 of the 10-race series.

New Englander Josh Creamer won the ATVMX National Championship in 2010 and after a brief hiatus from the series, Creamer has made his return back to the series in 2013. The highly anticipated return of the series’ former champion has proven to be as eventful as expected but Creamer is still looking for his first win of the season aboard his BCS Can-Am machine. Returning to his home region of the U.S. for Unadilla, Creamer is expected to make a statement in front of his hometown crowd.

Creamer-Can-Am-ATV-MX-4-17-13Valcourt, Québec, April 17, 2013 – Can-Am ATV racers earned two overall class victories and nine podium finishes at round two of the 2013 Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship series, sanctioned by the AMA, held at Muddy Creek in Blountville, Tenn. BCS Performance / Can-Am Pro Josh Creamer finished fourth in the Pro class. At the New England ATV Motocross (NEATV-MX) series opener in Wallkill, N.Y., Can-Am DS 450 racer Travis Moore won both the Pro and Pro-Am classes.

“Overall, it was good weekend for Can-Am ATV racers at Muddy Creek in Tennessee. Although Josh Creamer just missed the Pro class podium, we had three riders in the top 10 in both the Pro and Pro-Am classes. We also had three amateur racers win their respective classes on the DS 450,” said Jimmie O’Dell, Race Manager, Can-Am. “I am proud of the way Travis Moore raced in his Can-Am DS 450 debut in the NEATV series. It’s never easy to win two Pro-level classes and he did just that.”

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — Vintage motorcycles and the men and women who love to race them will see more track time this summer in the AMA Vintage Motocross and AMA Vintage Hare Scrambles National Championship Series. The new series will kick off on May 4-5 in Athens, Ohio, and wrap up at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days in Lexington, Ohio, on July 19-21.

“Vintage racing is an important part of the AMA’s past, present and future, and I’m pleased that we are able to expand our vintage motocross program into a series,” said AMA Motocross Manager Kip Bigelow. “Our members have expressed considerable interest in more vintage racing and we’re pleased to partner with an experienced promoter. I’m looking forward to some great racing on the track, as well as some invigorating bench racing and reminiscing about old times that goes hand-in-hand with the sport.”

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The AMA Indoor Dirt Track National Championship Series is running full throttle at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Du Quoin, Ill., with tight racing and an impressive lineup of Pro and Pro-Am riders highlighting the on-track action in the Steve Nace Racing-promoted series.

“We’re having a great series with competitive racing across the board, in both motorcycle and ATV competition. These riders don’t slow down when the outside temperatures drop,” said promoter Steve Nace. “There’s a lot of exciting short-track and TT racing on the schedule through late February — not to mention an indoor, heated facility to keep the fans nice and warm — so come on out and catch some racing.”
