The granddaddy of all desert off-road races, November’s BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 1000, has already attracted nearly 125 entries from 17 countries … and registration has only been open for a week.

Gustavo Vildosola Jr. and Sr. earned Mexico its first overall win this year at the 2010 SCORE Baja 1000. Robby Gordon finished second across the line in Trophy Trucks, and below are interviews from both teams after the race.

SCORE tells us, unofficially, that the 201 finishers for this year’s race is the 2nd most in the 18 years the 1000 has finished in La Paz. In the 43-year history, it is the 4th most finishers. It’s worth nothing that the finish line did stay open 1 hour longer than it did in 2006, the last time the Baja 1000 finished in La Paz. It also is 23 miles longer than the 2006 course, though.
