The facility was formerly called Firebird International Raceway.

Inc. — Family Events of Indianapolis, Indiana, is held annually in October at the Fairplex in Pomona, California. Lucas Oil has been the title sponsor of the Off-Road Expo since Family Events took over the event three years ago.

Known as the event “where the off-road nation comes together”, the Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo is the premier trade event for the off-road aftermarket industry. The 2012 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series television coverage will include 62 hours of original programming along with 168 hours of guaranteed re-airings for a total of 230 hours of exposure spread across five major networks; CBS, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, SPEED and MAVTV.

According to Joyce Julius and Associates®, in 2011 the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series created over $63.4 million in value for series sponsors and an additional $48.4 million in value for team sponsors, for a total annual exposure value of $111.8 million to the series and team sponsors.
