No, you’re not watching a monster truck freestyle exhibition. This is just a guy getting a little too nose heavy while descending an obstacle. That’s probably the longest Jeep nose wheelie we’ve ever seen – nice save!
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – XPEL Technologies has announced the company will be partnering with the highly popular organization Jeep Jamboree USA, headquartered in Georgetown, Calif., for 2017. XPEL will be an official sponsor of Jeep Jamboree USA, which organizes off-road adventure weekends taking place during 32 weekends throughout the country.
Long Beach, Calif., November 29, 2016 – Tenneco’s Rancho performance suspension and shock brand will return as sponsor – this year, as the official sponsor – of one of North America’s top adventure Jeep excursion and event organizations, Jeep Jamboree USA (JJUSA), for its 2017 adventure program.
“Jeep Jamboree USA has created events that are family oriented, extremely fun and critical to the future of off-road Jeeping. We get the opportunity to interact with passionate four wheel drive Jeepers, learn more about their product needs and test our products and systems on such a wide variety of terrain across North America,” said Chris Gauss, director, performance products, Tenneco. “It’s truly an honor to sponsor such a great organization.”
Editor’s note: Chrysler posted a story from Brittany and Ashley Hill who attended the family public thank you honoring the life of Jeep icon Mark A. Smith. Images courtesy of Ashley and Brittany Hill, A.K.A. the “Jeep Girls.”
The Smith family’s public thank you to the Jeep community and Jeep Jamboree USA (JJUSA) family for their support of Mark A. Smith’s efforts to promote recreational off-roading took place on Sunday, August 31st at Henningsen-Lotus Park, Lotus, California. The Jeep Girls drove their 2015 Firecracker Jeep Wrangler to say good-bye to an old friend and meet new ones as well.
Editor’s Note: Chrysler recently shared this story remembering the life of Jamboree founder Mark Smith, which we in turn wanted to share with our readers to pay homage to the passing of this off-road icon.
The passing of Mark Smith marks the end of an era in four-wheeling and the beginning of a lasting legacy.
Smith, 87, was a true friend of Jeep, having founded the Jamboree movement that is to Jeep owners what revival meetings are to the faithful.
The first place winner will take home a Superwinch Tiger Shark 9500, while the second place winner will have the opportunity to select any Jeep Jamboree from the 2013 lineup! Either of these prizes would make a great Christmas gift!
The contest ends November 30th and the winners will be announced before December 8th. Good luck!
GEORGETOWN, CA – The 60th Jeepers Jamboree celebration July 26-30, 2012 on the Rubicon Springs had many high points throughout all five days on the historic trail. The Movies on the Grass, Historical talks, Diamond in the Rough wine tasting supporting the Rubicon Trail Foundation, Raffle, Vendor Show and a Flatfender Show’N’Shine were just the organized events. The camaraderie, food and helpful nature of the Jeepers Jamboree staff and participants tipped the experience to excellent. “I would like to publicly thank the crews, cooks, rock rollers, mechanics and all the participants for making this the most amazing anniversary celebration yet,” said Bob Sweeney, Jeepers Jamboree Board of Directors. “I appreciate everyone working with us on the extended stay, it continues to show how big and whole hearted the entire off road family is!”
GEORGETOWN, CA – The 60th Annual Jeepers Jamboree will take place on the historic Rubicon Springs Trail July 26 – 30, 2012. The longest running event of this kind, it is a historic accomplishment for certain. There are many special features for this years trip including Movies on the Grass, Historical hikes and talks, Diamond in the Rough wine tasting supporting the Rubicon Trail Foundation, 60th Anniversary feature Jeep Giveaway & Raffle, largest vendor show to date and a Flatfender Show’N’Shine awarding a People’s Choice Plaque.
Everyone on the trip is welcome to show off their Jeep Flat Fender on Saturday morning at the meal area. The group that was commonly known as Flatville between the years of 1990 and 2002 will be hosting this social gathering. “The rock trail that was once only used by these ‘ol flat fenders in the 1950’s when Jeepers Jamboree started is now a lot easier to maneuver with the bigger tires and suspension,” said Ben Bower, a founding father of Flatville. “All the trail hands have been warned to bring old parts for this trip, its going to be a lot of fun to bring this whole group in!”
