After clinching a solid second-place finish at the inaugural SCORE Baja Sur 500, the reigning SCORE champion Steven Eugenio and driving partner Armin Schwarz now look forward to a real classic: This coming weekend (June 4-7 ), is the 47th edition of the Baja 500. This race marks the third round of the 2015 SCORE World Desert Championship. With the start and finish as always in Ensenada on the Pacific, Eugenio and Schwarz will race over 510 miles through northern Baja California at the wheel of their Galindo Motorsports #1 Trophy Truck. Schwarz and his navigator Bryan Lyttle tackle the first stint, with Eugenio and his co-pilot climbing aboard at race mile 260 to bring the Trophy Truck home.

Determined to regain momentum and championship form, the Galindo Motorsports team pushes forward to the newest race in the SCORE International season the Bud Light SCORE Baja Sur 500.

So far this year Galindo Motorsports has seen just about everything; from a podium finish in San Felipe, to the disappointment of loosing an overall win in Imperial, to the struggles of mechanical woes at the 500, to taking our first win in SCORE Trophy Truck back in our home town. We’ve learned a lot in a very short amount of time and now we come to the biggest race of the year, just a few points away from the SCORE Championship.

In just over a year after joining the Trophy Truck ranks, Steven Eugenio and navigator Steve Covey take the Galindo Motorsports #7 SCORE Trophy Truck to the winner’s circle. “We’re so happy with this win,” said Eugenio, driver of record for the #7. “Some guys race for years without getting a class win in Trophy Truck, but here we are at the top of the box. That alone is an accomplishment, but to beat guys like Rob, Tavo and Bj; those guys are fast. I really need to thank my partner Steve Covey for his navigation skills and prep job on Zeus. Without him, we wouldn’t be here.”

Yesterday’s qualifier for starting positions at the 46th SCORE Baja 500 was held on a 3.1-mile course just outside Ojos Negros, a small agricultural town east of Ensenada. A total of 28 Trophy Trucks took the green, and Galindo Motorsports Steven Eugenio finished ninth out of the 27 trucks that took the start.

Coming into Round 3 of the SCORE World Desert Championship brings the Galindo Motorsports team back to Ensenada for the 46th Baja 500.

Neither Baja nor mother nature could stop the Galindo Motorsports #7 from charging through the pack at the Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 this past weekend. A last-minute course change due to an overnight winter storm which made the summit section impassable played well into the Galindo teams hands.
