Stow, Ohio – Mickey Thompson was presented with a Project Excellence Award by Ford Motor Company at the 2016 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in recognition of its custom 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty built by Mike Duval of X-Treme Toyz.
Skyjacker and Matchbox partnered on a cool build for this year’s SEMA Show using the new Ford Super Duty F350 as the platform for this Police-inspired tactical truck. Although there’s only one of these trucks currently in existence, Matchbox has actually created a replica version of the 4×4 to commemorate the build.
Ford trucks earned top honors at the Texas Auto Writers Association’s 2016 Texas Truck Rodeo, with the all-new 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty – the toughest, smartest, most capable Super Duty ever – being named “Truck of Texas,” the most prestigious award given at the 23rd annual competition.
Ford says its 2017 F-Series Super Duty lineup will boast the largest fuel tank in the segment at 48 gallons. Ford uses the longer wheelbase and wider track of the new long-box Crew Cab to fit the huge tank between the frame and driveshaft.
Ford unveiled the payload and towing capability of its new F Series heavy-duty Super Duty trucks, claiming the “most towing and hauling capability and the most horsepower and torque of any heavy-duty pickup truck,” which includes a whopping 925 lb.-ft. of torque and 32,500 pounds of max towing capacity.

The new National seal – engineered for Ford F250, F350, F450 and F550 4×4 trucks equipped with Spicer 50 or 60 Monobeam front axles – features a sophisticated, one-piece design that helps provide proper axial alignment during installation to ensure trouble-free performance and longer life. The new design does not require a snap-ring and can be installed by hand.
