Geico-Endurocross-New-4-10-13Irvine, CA (October 8, 2013) – KTM’s Mike Brown has won two of the three GEICO AMA EnduroCross events, fueled by Monster Energy and presented by Lucas Oil so far in 2013 and holds a narrow seven point lead over Taddy Blazusiak. The series will visit Denver this Saturday, October 12th and Brown and Blazusiak will resume their battle for the championship.

Brown and Monster Kawasaki’s Taylor Robert just completed the International Six Days Enduro in Italy on Saturday and helped the American team take the runner up position to equal the best ever finish for an American team at the prestigious event.

Shorai LFX™ batteries are an industry leading 80 percent lighter than their lead-acid equivalent with 20 percent greater starting performance, giving the riders a quick start advantage in the “toughest racing on two wheels.”

This weekend’s EnduroCross race will take place at National Western Complex in Denver, Colo., on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013.

Endurocross-Podium-9-24-13Ontario, CA – KTM’s Taddy Blazusiak took an exciting win at round three of the 2013 GEICO AMA EnduroCross series, fueled by Monster Energy and presented by Lucas Oil in Ontario, California. Mike Brown led for five laps and looked poised to take his third EnduroCross win in a row until a small mistake allowed Blazusiak to take the lead. Beta’s Cody Webb rode a steady race and kept the leaders in sight to take the final podium position.

Brown, JCR Honda’s Colton Haaker and Blazusiak were the three heat race winners but the new night time hot lap format decides the main event gate picks: Haaker set the fastest time over Webb, Blazusiak and Brown. Taylor Robert was the big loser as a crash relegated him to a second row starting position.

Geico-Endurocross-New-4-10-13After a long summer break, the 2013 GEICO AMA EnduroCross series, fueled by Monster Energy and presented by Lucas Oil will return to action on Saturday, September 21st inside the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California. The seven race 2013 championship still has five rounds remaining and KTM’s Mike Brown was on a tear before the summer break taking the wins in Las Vegas and Sacramento. He also took a win at the non AMA points paying X Games Enduro X event in Barcelona, Spain so it has been a good year so far for the likeable veteran from Tennessee. “The KTM 350 has been great for me this year and I am looking forward to competing for the championship” Brown said of his early season success.

Brown’s closest pursuer in the championship is Poland’s Taddy Blazusiak, the four time and defending EnduroCross champion that won the most recent X Games Enduro X event in Los Angeles. Blazusiak has not been nearly as dominant so far in 2013 and will be looking to reestablish his place at the top.

Blazusiak-Endorocross-X-games-8-5-13Poland’s Taddy Blazusiak earned his second Los Angeles X Games Enduro X gold medal in three years by riding a flawless main event. The KTM rider withstood heavy pressure first from his teammate Mike Brown and later from Colton Haaker on the Lucas Oil JCR Honda but both riders made mistakes that allowed Blazusiak to hold a narrow gap to the finish.

Brown recovered from a few small mistakes to take the silver medal and Beta’s Cody Webb rode a consistent race to take the bronze medal in his first race back from a broken foot. Haaker finished fourth and Monster Kawasaki’s Taylor Robert took fifth.

2013-EX-Sacramento-Ruiz-6-10-13Corona, CA – June 10, 2013 – Factory Husqvarna’s Cory Graffunder hit the road for round two of the GEICO AMA EnduroCross series with one thing on his mind – podium. After starting the season with a modest seventh-place finish at the opening round, Graffunder was determined to improve his results, and he was able to do just that with a third-place finish, on the podium, at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California.

The battle for third in the main event turned out to be an intense one. Graffunder had his hands full getting around his former teammate, Kyle Redmond, who held third for much of the main. Cory then had the challenge of fending off a hard charging Taddy Blazusiak for the final podium position. Graffunder proved to be unstoppable on his factory Husqvarna TXC310R, and would not be pressured into making any mistakes.

Geico-Endurocross-New-4-10-13Sacramento, CA – Mike Brown kept his streak going at round two of the 2013 GEICO AMA EnduroCross series, fueled by Monster Energy and presented by Lucas Oil inside the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California. The FMF KTM rider had a nearly perfect day by setting the fastest time during the daytime hot laps, winning his heat race and finishing a close second in the night time hot laps before leading every lap of the main event. “I have started the season really well but there is still a long ways to go for the championship” Brown said. “But this is like getting the holeshot on the season”.

Monster Kawasaki’s Taylor Robert was a very close second in the main event and kept the pressure on for the entire main event. He ate a lot of roost off of Brown’s rear wheel and eventually had to remove his goggles. “I just could not see because Brown was roosting me every lap when we exited the water hole.”

The battle for third was intense as RPM KTM’s Kyle Redmond held the spot for several laps before giving way to Husqvarna’s Cory Graffunder. Then Graffunder came under intense pressure from Taddy Blazusiak and Colton Haaker, who had both moved through the pack after going down on the start. Haaker passed Blazusiak and made a last lap pass attempt on Graffunder and went down in the firewood pit. Graffunder held the final podium spot, Blazusiak passed the downed Haaker for fourth and Haaker recovered for fifth.

Husqvara-Off-Road-5-28-14Corona, CA – May 28, 2013 - A homeland race, a gnarly endurocross course and a Red Bull twist added up to what Cory Graffunder called “a perfect day” at the Red Bull Rocks & Logs event in Calgary, Canada. The head-to-head competition took place at the Wild Rose MX Park, and despite some stiff competition from fellow Canadian pro racers, Graffunder dominated the day aboard his Husqvarna TXC310R.

“I won all the heats and the final, which is what I was hoping to do,” Cory said. “There were some other fast guys here today and it definitely wasn’t going to be a walk in the park. The rain on Friday was worrying, but the sun came out and it really came together. It was all pretty tough but nothing was super gnarly.”
