Can-Am SxS off-road racers had great success this past weekend on racetracks around the country, notching several victories and numerous podiums. Check out the recap of each race below.

Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo side-by-side vehicle racer Phil Blurton won the 2017 UTV World Championship Safecraft long course overall and UTV Pro Turbo class this weekend in Laughlin, Nevada. Can-Am Maverick X3 side-by-side vehicle pilots had a great showing at the annual event, which is sanctioned by the Best In The Desert (BITD) racing association, winning two classes, including a podium sweep in the Pro UTV Unlimited ranks.

Can-Am off-road has launched its 2017 Can-Am factory racing team and also announced its Can-Am X-Team ATV and SxS Rider Contingency Program. The amateur and professional racing contingency program includes more than a $350,000 in total payouts and covers numerous racing series for ATVs and side-by-side vehicles across North America.

The Can-Am X-Team off-road consists of 18 teams competing with Can-Am Renegade 4×4 ATVs and Can-Am Maverick side-by-side vehicles.

The Can-Am accessories group recently unveiled a new product for ATV owners looking to hit the snow. The new Apache Backcountry Track System for Can-Am ATVs help tackle “deep backcountry snow and challenging winter conditions.”

During the 2016 Defender Pilot Program held at several dealerships in Iowa, Texas, and Minnesota, participants were able to see the new Can-Am Defender vehicle and register for the “Win a Defender” promotion. On December 14, 2016, the drawing was held and the winner was Jeff L. of Iowa.

– BRP (TSX:DOO) recently opened a state-of-the-art technician training institute within its Sturtevant, Wisconsin manufacturing facility. This new institute will train dealers and their employees to maintain and repair all BRP vehicles, engines and accessories. Alain Villemure, vice president and general manager of BRP’s Marine Propulsion Systems division and Martin Soucy, vice president of its global after-sales function, participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony before employees, media and the general public.

Can-Am ATV and side-by-side vehicle racers put on a dominating show at round 12 of the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) racing series, sweeping both the XC1 Pro UTV and 4×4 Pro ATV classes in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

Can-Am Side-By-Side Vehicle Racing
Kyle Chaney easily won the UTV overall and XC1 Pro UTV class in his Can-Am Maverick X xc 1000R side-by-side vehicle. Chaney, the defending, two-time XC1 Pro UTV class champion, has now won the last two GNCC events. With three total victories and points from two other races this season, Chaney has climbed to within 26 points of Cody Miller for the class points lead.

By next Tuesday, we’ll know exactly what the new Can-Am Maverick X3 looks like, as the cover will officially be pulled off the new side-by-side formally on August 16.

Valcourt, Québec – Can-Am X-Team members wrapped up their Grand National Cross Country season in dominating fashion, winning six classes, the SxS overall and securing two Pro class championships at the Ironman event in Indiana. Can-Am Maverick 1000R pilot Kyle Chaney and Renegade X xc 800R racer Bryan Buckhannon successfully repeated as XC1 Pro SxS and 4×4 Pro ATV class champions, respectively.

Buckhannon-Can-Am-Off-Road-10-25-13Valcourt, Québec – Can-Am ATV and side-by-side racers competed in many different off-road series last weekend, coming away with a couple championships and several wins. Can-Am DS 450™ racer Travis Moore wrapped up the New England ATV Motocross Series Pro class championship with a podium finish at the series finale in New York. Maverick™ 1000R pilot Steve Beilman secured the 2013 UTV Unlimited class championship with a top-five finish at the Lucas Oil Off-Road Regional Racing Series race in Southern California.
