Corona, CA – Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series is pleased to welcome Bosch Power Tools, as the “Official Power Tool” of the Southern California Region into their family of racing partners.

“Bosch has long been known as the top choice for professional Tradesmen and experienced Do-It-Yourselfers,” stated Lee Perfect, Race Director for Regional Lucas Oil Off Road. “We utilize the Bosch Power Tools in the actual construction of the race tracks as well as maintaining the race and support vehicles during the events. They have proven their reliability time and time again”

The growing Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series is a developmental Series designed for drivers to gain experience towards competing on the professional level and for the recreational racer to be able to affordably experience competition on national level race tracks. The Series is split into three different regions: Southern California, Arizona and Utah. The season ending “Regional Shootout” pits all of the top drivers from the different regions against each other on a neutral territory at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Foothill Ranch, Calif. – Set against the uniquely sculptured and dramatic backdrop of Oakley’s world headquarters, the finest off-road motorsports performances of last season were toasted at the annual Dirt Sports magazine “Driver of the Year Honors” celebration hosted by Amsoil, KMC Wheel, Oakley, Red Bull and Ryan Communications Group (RCG).

In the most difficult and closely contested Driver of the Year voting since the awards were established in 2005 (for the 2004 season), Dirt Sports gave top 2011 honors to Bryce Menzies. Menzies, a 24-year old racer from Las Vegas, managed the nearly incomprehensible feat of claiming two very distinctive championships; the Traxxas TORC Pro 2 unlimited short course title and the SCORE desert series Trophy-Truck crown. Both categories are considered the pinnacle in their respective forms of off-road motorsports.
