Beta USA’s Cody Webb tackles one of the toughest races in the world this coming weekend (May 29 – June 1), the Red Bull Hare Scramble, in Austria. The Red Bull Hare Scramble consists of a four hour race where racers must reach 20 check points during the allotted time to win the event; an accomplishment that very few riders attain. While Webb is one of the few Americans representing this year, his technical skills, endurocross experience, and trials background should make him a contender for the win.

American Beta has reached a three-year agreement with Motul Oils as the official oil for all Beta motorcycles sold in the American market. Beginning in February all new Betas sold in the USA will include Motul oil in the bikes. The deal also includes support for the American Beta race team operations including Cody Webb, Max Gerston, and Justin Sode’s bikes as well as all of the Mototrial team and the newly signed Purvines Racing bikes.

American Beta’s Tim Pilg explains the agreement, “We are very excited to have Motul as a business partner. Their product’s quality matches our bikes perfectly and will provide our customers with the best oil when they receive their new Beta. We are shipping all Betas with Motul oil so our dealers can fill the bikes with the right product from the start!

American Beta will be providing dealers with 7100 4T and Transoil Expert oil in their line of four stroke Off Road, Dual Sport, and Mototrial bikes. They will also ship their new two stroke RR range of bikes with a bottle of Motul 800 2T Factory Line premix.

Casey Folks, director of Best in the Desert racing, announced today that American Beta has reached an agreement with Purvines Racing to race several Betas in the Best in the Desert series for the 2013 season. Purvines Racing is run by Ron Purvines, whose past successes with major motorcycle brands from both a team and participation effort has been stellar. Folks went on to say, “We are extremely proud to have Beta Motorcycles as the official motorcycle of Best In The Desert and excited to see their continued commitment to the growth of Beta in the world of desert racing.”

The agreement will help establish Beta as a major contender in desert racing, and the Hare and Hound events. Purvines Racing will field a 10-rider team aboard three different Beta RR models.

Enduro Cross specialists Cody Webb came oh-so close to winning his first ever AMA National Endurocross event on Saturday at the Citizens Bank Arena in Ontario, California. The Beta racer started the night out with a solid third place in the hot lap session (Hot laps determine heat races for the evening shows). Webb then put his Stillwell Performance tuned Beta 350 RR into the night’s main event by easily winning his heat race.

In the main, Webb came of the line in second and started pushing series points leader Taddy Blazusiak for the lead. Webb continued to push until he forced Blazusiak to make a mistake in the rock section. Webb put his head down and rode hard for the next four laps with Taddy on his heels as the two pulled away from the rest of the field. Webb made a slight bobble in the log pile section which allowed Blazusiak to pass for the win.

The Factory Beta/Stillwell Performance race team traveled to the scenic Tennessee hills for the second annual Kenda TKO (Tennessee Knock Out) Extreme Enduro. The conditions were much different than last year as recent rains made for a wet event. The TKO event was held at the famous Trials Training Center and is unique as riders are knocked out of each morning qualifier if they do not make the cut. This all makes for a final race with only the top riders advancing.

Beta racer Cody Webb put his Beta 350RR on the podium with a solid second place finish after leading the race early on. The Californian was the fastest rider in the morning Hot Laps by a full ten seconds. Webb also won the Knock Out round in the morning.

American Beta is proud to announce the release of their new Evo 300 SS. The SS stands for “Super Smooth” as the bike has added features to enhance the Beta’s power delivery. This new model was developed here in the USA and is designed for riders wanting a softer power delivery.

Beta’s Marketing Manager Tim Pilg explains, “we now can offer two completely different trials bikes to our customers in the 300cc class. The new SS model fills a gap for rider’s looking for a softer power for mud, slippery rocks, or just wanting a softer powerband. The power delivery of the SS mimics that of our Evo 250 but with much more torque and power.”

The new 300 starts with the current model Evo with the following items added:

-Special titanium header designed for more torque

-Flywheel weight for more “chugability”

PASO ROBLES, CA (September 21, 2011: Factory Beta racer Cody Webb has moved up to 3rd place in the points after his podium finish at Round 4 of the Geico AMA Endurocross series. Webb started out the night with the fastest time in practice, followed by being 8th quickest in qualifying after a bobble. The California native then transferred directly into the main event from his heat race.

All of the regulars filled the main event gate on a course that was faster than previous tracks as lap times were in the 45 second range. Webb came around the first turn in 7th spot and one by one began to pick off riders, After trailing Kyle Redmond for a couple of laps, Webb made the pass just before the white flag to secure a solid 3rd place finish. Webb now sits 3rd in points, only 8 points behind KTM’s Mike Brown.

“The Ontario race worked out very well. I put myself into podium contention at the start of the race, but was riding tight for the first few laps and slightly fell off the pace of the front runners. I eventually got into a groove and found some rhythm once again on my factory 350 RR. After settling in I capitalized on mistakes from the other riders and made a pass into third right before the white flag. I was very happy with my third place finish considering I was not completely pleased with how I was riding. I’m very excited to now be running third overall in the standings and am looking forward to continuing my ” Webb explained.

Webb’s sponsors include Factory Beta Racing, Dunlop Tires, Kal Gard Lubricants, AXO, Gaerne, Troy Lee Designs, FMF, CV4, Rekluse, Works Connection, TU-Bliss, and DVS.

PASO ROBLES, CA – Beta factory rider Cody Webb ended his 2011 AMA Mototrial season with a dominating win over rival Pat Smage besting the new champion by 23 points. The win brought a positive end to an exciting season.

The final three rounds were held at the Trials Training Center in Sequatchie, Tennesse this past weekend. The event proved to be tough as the weather became an issue on the first two days with thunderstorms passing through each afternoon. This made the huge rock outcroppings slippery having the two top riders searching for traction. Webb finished the final round on top of the podium for the day and in second position for the season.

“My weekend was not as perfect as I would have liked however it was a good learning experience. I had to battle back from terrible first loops Saturday and Sunday. Monday I finally put it all together and rode like I was supposed to all year. I was super impressed with the performance of my Beta all weekend and I can’t wait for next year to battle back for another championship. I can’t thank everyone enough for all the help and support. I also want to thank my sponsors American Beta, RL Racing, Dunlop, Gaerne, Kal Gard, S3, Nau, and Country Home Inspection to help make this year a great one”.  Webb explains.

Next stop for Cody is the National EnduroX series which begins on July 31st at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. This round will be a part of the ESPN X-Games. Look for Webb on his factory-prepared Beta 350 RR.
