Easter Jeep Safari is in full swing, and today Area BFE was hopping with Jeeps, Toyotas, buggies and Ultra4 cars tackling the hard stuff and the moderate trails that Area BFE has to offer. If you have never been to Area BFE, it’s a private property park with a playground and plethora of trails from easy to extreme.
Denver, CO – Team Lovell unveiled the new look of their 2012 championship winning pro-light this weekend at the final round of AMSOIL Arenacross in Denver, CO where AMSOIL’s own Tyler Bowers won another season championship.
“I’m ready to get back in the drivers seat,” said Brad Lovell, “The off-season feels like a bunch of bench racing. Its time for action!” The team will head west in the coming days for 4 days of testing in Primm, NV before heading to Moab, UT for the Easter Jeep Safari.
The #1 AMSOIL Torchmate Nissan Pro-Light will be on display in Moab at the Magnaflow booth while the Lovell Brothers enjoy the sandstone with partners BFGoodrich Tires and 4 Wheel Parts. “We’re coming back to race Dirt Riot at Area BFE. It was a blast last year and we narrowly took the win over Nick Campbell. Great racing!”
Moab, UT – After a 6-year dry spell, rock racing is back at Area BFE during the Easter Jeep Safari. Area BFE, the legendary haven to off-roaders, hosted one of the biggest and best Dirt Riot races ever with multiple classes and 22 entries in the unlimited 4400 division.
Much like a rally, the day of racing was broken into 3 segments – qualifying, stage #1, and stage #2. The qualifying loop was in the well known competition area but the longer race stages took advantage of the extensive trail network created by the owners of BFE. Derrik West laid down the quickest qualifying time to take the pole but crashed shortly into the first stage ending his chances of a win.
