PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) is pleased to announce the 2012 AMA Pro/Am Motocross schedule. AMA Pro/Am Motocross provides the proving ground for amateur racers to earn the credentials they need to line up at an AMA Supercross or AMA Pro Racing Motocross event.

“AMA Pro/Am Motocross represents the pinnacle of amateur motocross competition,” said AMA Director of Racing Joe Bromley. “Racers at these events compete at premier tracks around the country for the points, purse money and contingency that will help them get to the next level — AMA Supercross and AMA Pro Racing Motocross.

For the past four years, FOX has owned the top step of the podium at AMA/ATVA Nationals, GNCCs, and WORCS series events. Amateur riders who ride on FOX suspension systems will also get trackside support, running the same technology that has led riders like Chris Borich, John Natalie, Josh Frederick, Josh Creamer, Dustin Wimmer, and more to several championships over the last few years.

The 2012 FOX grassroots team will have the option of upgrading their new Gen II FLOAT X EVOLs to the Kashima-coated version that our factory-level riders have been testing for the past year with great success. Our Kashima-coated air sleeves and reservoirs reduce friction on the key surfaces of the shock absorber, resulting in a smoother action throughout the stroke of the shock.

With the 2012 season, FOX brings more support by utilizing a few of its key dealers for the ordering process. FOX is pleased to announce that Brothers Motorsports in Minnesota, Dirt Works in Missouri, Southside Sales and Service in Massachusetts, Janssen Motorsports in Wisconsin, Honda East in Ohio, and Temecula Motorsports in California will be assisting them with your orders.
See you on the podium!

The Green Ninja

Justin Hill came up to Mammoth and let nothing keep him off the podium. He raced back-to-back main events to secure championships in both the Open Intermediate and Schoolboy classes after 14-consecutive hot laps on Friday. On Sunday, Hill destroyed the competition on his KX™450F, winning the 450 Intermediate class by over 16 seconds. Over the course of the event, Hill diced the track like a ninja, throwing down lap times that rivaled the top pros. His ability to find the fastest lines and maintain his momentum throughout the track made him the winningest Team Green rider of the event. He left the event with three championship bear trophies and a smile that stretched from ear to ear.
