AMA-logo-230PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The Lone Star State will offer American Motorcyclist Association motocross racers a lot of competition events over the next three months, with a full district championship schedule that will qualify them for the AMA District 20/41/42 Championship at Cycle Ranch MX in Floresville, Texas, Nov. 9-10.

“Some of this country’s best motocross racing is in the great state of Texas,” said AMA Motocross Manager Kip Bigelow. “Fall provides excellent conditions for racing, and we can expect a lot of close battles not just for a state title, but to qualify for a spot on the line at the finale.”

Now in its third year, the AMA District 20/41/42 Championship will take place at Cycle Ranch MX, about 30 miles southeast of San Antonio. The final race will feature riders who qualified through AMA District Championship Series in District 41 (Northeast Texas), District 20 (Southeast Texas) and District 42 (West Texas). AMA-logo-230PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The American Motorcyclist Association congratulates the U.S. Junior Motocross Team for its overall title at the 2013 FIM Junior Motocross World Championships in Jinin, Czech Republic, on Aug. 10-11. The Czech Republic team finished second, and Spain was third in the team-based competition.

In addition to the team title, U.S. rider Aiden Tijero, from Danville, Calif., earned the individual world championship in the 65cc class at the event, which broke participation records with 231 entries and 41 countries taking part.

Rock River Racing rider Chase Sexton, from La Moille, Ill., was the top-finishing U.S. rider in the 85cc class, finishing fourth overall, while Cernics Racing’s Jarek Balkovic from Camp Hill, Pa., led the U.S. team among 125cc riders, finishing sixth overall.

Bisceglia swept all three motos in the Open Pro Sport class and scored two firsts and a second in the 250 A class for two national titles.

AMA-logo-230PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The American Motorcyclist Association has selected some of the fastest youth motocross racers in the country to compete at the 2013 FIM Junior Motocross World Championships Aug. 10-11 in Jinin, Czech Republic.

Multiple riders have been selected for each class — 65cc, 85cc and 125cc — to attempt to regain the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme world title that the U.S. team relinquished last year in Bulgaria, where it finished third after winning the title in 2010 in France and 2011 in Italy.

This year’s 10- to 12-year-old 65cc class racers are Max Miller from Springfield, Ore.; Aiden Tijero from Danville, Calif.; and Ty Masterpool out of Paradise, Texas. All three riders will compete aboard KTM Orange Brigade machines.
