Just last week in preparation for the 48th Bud Light SCORE Baja 1000, the Honda Off-Road Team traveled to Barstow, California, to perform a shakedown test of the new Honda Unlimited Ridgeline Race Truck that looks to conquer this week’s race.

2015-SCORE-Baja-1000-Logo-9-30-15ENSENADA, Mexico — While deservedly grabbing the majority of the headlines will be the race for the season title in the marquee SCORE Trophy Truck division for 850-horsepower high-tech, unlimited production trucks, this week’s internationally-televised iconic 48th annual Bud Light SCORE Baja 1000 desert race will also include everyman racers from across the U.S. and around the world along with nearly two dozen cross-over racers from other motorsports disciplines as well as business leaders and entertainers.

Season finale of the five-race 2015 SCORE World Desert Championship, this year’s competition will be a loop race, starting and finishing in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, 65 miles south of the U.S. Border at San Diego.

SCORE International held qualifying last night at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the 2015 Bud Light SCORE Baja 1000 that will take place in just a few weeks in Baja California, Mexico. As part of the 2015 SEMA Show week, racers lined up and paraded out to the speedway from the 2015 SEMA Show, which is currently being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

You may have caught the news on Off-Road.com that Honda planned to unveil a Ridgeline Baja Race Truck based on the new 2017 Ridgeline Honda plans to release next year. Today at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, Honda pulled the tarp off its purpose-built race truck while also announcing it will race the machine at this year’s SCORE Baja 1000 in a few weeks.

SCORE-Logo-12-5-11RENO, Nev. — With pre-running on the rugged race course scheduled to open Friday, official entries from 23 U.S. States and 14 countries were included the drawing for start positions in various classes for next month’s 48th Anniversary of the iconic Bud Light SCORE Baja 1000 desert race, the season finale of the five-race 2015 SCORE World Desert Championship.

Over 200 entries, from 30 U.S. States and 25 countries competing in Pro and Sportsman classes for cars, trucks, UTVs, motorcycles and quads are expected to take the green flag on Friday, Nov. 20 for this year’s 48th annual Bud Light SCORE Baja 1000. The granddaddy of all desert races will be held in Baja California Norte on Mexico’s majestic Baja California peninsula, starting and finishing in the seaside port of Ensenada, 65 miles south of the U.S. Border at San Diego.

BFGoodrich Tires will host the one-of-a-kind Pit Crew Challenge outside its booth at the SEMA Score Baja Experience in the Silver Lot outside of the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, running from Tuesday, Nov. 3, through Thursday, Nov. 5. Each two-member team will compete against the clock, and other teams, by conducting a controlled pit stop and testing their skills in changing BFGoodrich Baja T/A® KR2 race tires and simulating a fuel stop on a SCORE Baja 1000 Class 10 buggy. The event will feature appearances by several BFGoodrich Performance Team members who are made up of professional racers, tuners and enthusiasts throughout the week.

RENO, Nev. — Following the fourth of five races in the 2015 SCORE World Desert Championship, 10 of SCORE’s toughest drivers remain in the hunt to earn 2015 SCORE Milestone Awards. Last month’s Rigid Industries SCORE Imperial Valley 250 was run on a rugged 288.3-mile course near Plaster City, Calif. on Sept. 26.
