In the wake of Hurricane Odile, off-road racers are mobilizing to aid the people of Baja California who are suffering in the wake of the devastating Category 3 Hurricane Odile that hit the Baja peninsula hard on Sunday.
In an attempt to win a bet with playboy Dan Bilzerian, BJ Baldwin gets dripped off via helicopter at his 800-horsepower trophy truck with one goal: Get down through the town in Baja and down to the beach to meet up with Dan and a number of bikini-clad ladies in under 20 minutes.
BFGoodrich recently unveiled its newest all-terrain tire, the T/A KO2. This is the fourth-generation all-terrain tire for the company, and it’s the first introduced in 15 years since the T/A KO was launched back in 1999. The KO was greeted with high marks by hard-core off-roaders and weekend warriors alike for its great off-road performance matched with good on-road characteristics, and many ways it was the benchmark for which all-terrain tires were measured over the past decade and a half.

Known as a celebration of all things RZR, the first Camp RZR was held during the 2013 New Years weekend, in the Glamis Sand Dunes, in Calif. The event was such a success, it was repeated later that year over Halloween weekend. Polaris expanded the event internationally when the first-ever Camp RZR was held in the United Arab Emirates earlier this year.
RENO, Nev. — Mexico’s Gustavo Vildosola Jr. has drawn the first starting positions for the upcoming 19th annual Rigid Industries SCORE Desert Challenge, presented by the City of Imperial, Calif. A live drawing was broadcast Tuesday night on the SCORE DirtLive HD Internet Show.
Round 4 of the 2014 five-race SCORE World Desert Championship will have the event split into multiple days with classes divided into groups as is typical with a SCORE Desert Challenge. Each class will run two, eight-lap segments over an eight-mile course at the Coyne Powersports Motorplex near Plaster City, Calif. in Imperial Valley. The race festivities will be held Sept. 25-28 with racing on Friday night, all day and into Saturday evening and Sunday morning and afternoon. The race venue is located approximately 100 miles east of San Diego.

POMONA, Calif. – The 2014 Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo powered by General Tire is set to partner with Red Bull Straight Rhythm, an innovative take on supercross, for a full weekend of motorsports action at Fairplex, in Pomona, Calif. Southern California’s largest off-roading event will take place Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5, featuring two full days of off-road action including off-road vehicle ride alongs, ATV/UTV ride and drives, an RC test track, celebrity autograph sessions, off-road racing demos and more. On Saturday afternoon, attendees are invited to head over to the adjacent Auto Club Raceway to witness the evolution of supercross racing at Red Bull Straight Rhythm.
Since it’s inception in 2013, Red Bull Straight Rhythm has taken the racing world by storm. Red Bull Straight Rhythm will feature 32 riders in a head-to-head, best-of-three bracket format on an evolved supercross track with no turns – just a half-mile long straight rhythm section. By isolating the whoops, triples, doubles, table tops and step on/offs, riders must focus entirely on reading the terrain and judging their speed for precise distance and control. Red Bull Straight Rhythm will offer a $10 discount to attendees that show their Off-Road Expo ticket at the Red Bull Straight Rhythm box office on Saturday, October 4, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
