TORONTO, Ontario, Canada
– Robby Gordon edged TRAXXAS-driver Sheldon Creed on the final lap of practice Friday to set the fastest lap in qualifying for Saturday’s first of two Formula Off-Road Presented by TRAXXAS races at the Honda Indy Toronto.

Although Gordon, driving the SPEED Energy/Toyo Tires/TRAXXAS truck, set the quickest time in the session, he will not start on the pole for the 2:20 p.m. race Saturday given that he will draw a number from a hat during tomorrow’s pre-race driver’s meeting to determine how many rows in the eight-truck field will be inverted for the start. It is guaranteed, however, that he and Creed will start alongside each other when they get the green flag, but it is yet to be determined whether it will be row two, three or four.

SEMA-Logo-1-3-13Washington, DC – The U.S. Senate passed Senate Resolution 493 (S. Res. 493) designating July 11, 2014 as “Collector Car Appreciation Day.”  The Resolution was requested by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) and its Automotive Restoration Market Organization (ARMO) and Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) Councils.  The date marks the fifth commemoration in what has become an annual event to celebrate and raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society.

S. Res. 493 was sponsored by Congressional Automotive Performance and Motorsports Caucus Co-Chairs Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) and Senator Richard Burr (R-NC), along with Sen.
