Sand Car jump
Sure those big horsepower, high dollar sand cars have a ton of suspension travel, but it still takes a lot of guts to put all that horsepower and travel to good use.  This guy isn’t scared and he let loose with a 120+ foot sand car jump.

Going Weightless
Some of the smoothest jumps on an ATV or a side by side are the ones where the ground just disappears beneath you. This UTV pilot found a perfect RZR jump that didn’t have a lip but his momentum was enough to send him skyward.

towing train
If you’ve ever been to Glamis, you know that it’s not at all uncommon to see motorhomes and travel trailers getting pulled out of the sand. The driver of this stuck Chevrolet Silverado must have been in deep because it took a Ford F350 and a GMC Yukon to pull him out.

When you give a team of passionate engineers the green light to put together a one-off project build where imagination is the only limit, something special is bound to happen.

Huge Trophy Truck Glamis
Brandon Arthur is the driver of the #56 Trophy Truck and the #6 Pro-Lite truck, and apparently he also happens to be a capable dune jumper. Check out this huge huck from a recent trip to Glamis.

Maverick X3 dune line
It can take a lot of searching to find the perfect jump in the dunes.  The driver of this Maverick X3 lucked out and found an insane dune line with three huge jumps in a row. However we would highly recommend he get some spotters on the other two jumps.

100 ft rzr jump
Glamis isn’t the only place that people go big in their UTVs. Check out one of the most massive RZR jumps we’ve seen from Sand Mountain.

Dirt Bike Jeep
There are close calls… and then there’s this. This dirt bike lands on a Jeep after sailing over 100 feet through the air off of a dune. This could have gone wrong in so many ways for both parties. That’s why its always a good idea to have spotters watching the take off and the landing when jumping, particularly in the dunes.

Johnson-Valley-Hammers-3-1-13Editor’s Note: The BlueRibbon Coalition is helping the Marine Corps spread the word about the closure of Johnson Valley during the month of August this year for military training. See more on the details below.

The Johnson Valley Shared Use Area will be temporarily closed to the public August 1-30, 2017, while the Marine Corps conducts military training to support a large-scale exercise.

Sandcar UTV crash
This video serves as a good reminder to always be attentive when riding, especially in the dunes.  It’s hard to see, much less steer, when your wheels are off the ground and this sand car and UTV collision probably could have been avoided.
