When you give a team of passionate engineers the green light to put together a one-off project build where imagination is the only limit, something special is bound to happen.
Brandon Arthur is the driver of the #56 Trophy Truck and the #6 Pro-Lite truck, and apparently he also happens to be a capable dune jumper. Check out this huge huck from a recent trip to Glamis.
It can take a lot of searching to find the perfect jump in the dunes. The driver of this Maverick X3 lucked out and found an insane dune line with three huge jumps in a row. However we would highly recommend he get some spotters on the other two jumps.
Glamis isn’t the only place that people go big in their UTVs. Check out one of the most massive RZR jumps we’ve seen from Sand Mountain.
There are close calls… and then there’s this. This dirt bike lands on a Jeep after sailing over 100 feet through the air off of a dune. This could have gone wrong in so many ways for both parties. That’s why its always a good idea to have spotters watching the take off and the landing when jumping, particularly in the dunes.
Editor’s Note: The BlueRibbon Coalition is helping the Marine Corps spread the word about the closure of Johnson Valley during the month of August this year for military training. See more on the details below.
The Johnson Valley Shared Use Area will be temporarily closed to the public August 1-30, 2017, while the Marine Corps conducts military training to support a large-scale exercise.
This video serves as a good reminder to always be attentive when riding, especially in the dunes. It’s hard to see, much less steer, when your wheels are off the ground and this sand car and UTV collision probably could have been avoided.
After the open dunes and huge crowds at Camp RZR West in Glammis, Renner and his team load up and head for Dumont Dunes for some more dune time away from the crowds for the second episode of the Red Bull series Ride Out with Ronnie Renner.
