(NYSE: PII) today announced plans to build a new production facility in Huntsville, Alabama to provide additional capacity and flexibility as the company continues to experience rapid growth. Located Southwest of Huntsville City Center, the 600,000 square-foot facility will focus on off-road vehicle production.
Polaris selected Huntsville due to its skilled workforce, history of technology and innovation, existing utility infrastructure, and strong local and state resources supporting economic development. The 453-acre Huntsville site offers Polaris close proximity to its key customer base in the Southeast U.S. and strong logistics network.

El Cajon, Calif. – In one of the most grueling SCORE International Baja 1000 races to date Rob MacCachren’s #11 FOX-equipped Trophy Truck was first to cross the 1275-mile race’s finish line. Sharing driving duties from Ensenada to La Paz with Andy McMillin, the team conquered the hurricane-ravaged Baja terrain and bested over 200 competitors. With a total time of 22 hours, 31 minutes and 28 seconds, the team claimed victory nearly 29 minutes ahead of the next finisher.

(NYSE: PII) recently announced the acquisition of certain assets of LSI Products Inc. and Armor Holdings, LLC, privately-held Riverside, Calif.-based companies that design, develop, manufacture, source, sell and distribute accessories for performance side-by-side vehicles and ATV markets under the Pro Armor brand. This acquisition adds Pro Armor to Polaris’ growing parts, garments and accessories (PG&A) business. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

November 4, 2014, San Diego, CA – After a successful debut for the first XP1K video, UTVunderground has launched the new “XP1K2” video today. UTVUnderground.com and motorsports production company Mad Media hit the launch button this morning after debuting the new video to a crowd of thousands at Polaris Camp RZR West, in Glamis, California over the weekend.
Known as a celebration of all things RZR, the first Camp RZR was held during the 2013 New Years weekend, in the Glamis Sand Dunes, in Calif. The event was such a success, it was repeated later that year over Halloween weekend. Polaris expanded the event internationally when the first-ever Camp RZR was held in the United Arab Emirates earlier this year; and added a second North American Camp at Brimstone, in Huntsville, Tenn., in September.
Similar to years past, Camp RZR will feature vendors, free food, giveaways, RZR 170 races, a Show & Shine competition, a kid’s zone, RZR demos and Polaris staff on hand to answer questions. The RZR 170 races will include celebrity racers Ronnie Renner, Levi LaVallee, RJ Anderson and Colten Moore with autograph sessions on Friday and Saturday.
