Auburn Hills, Mich. – In anticipation of the 2014 edition of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show, Mopar released sketches of its modified Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, and Fiat vehicles headed for the premier aftermarket tradeshow in Las Vegas. It’s not clear from the images exactly what modifications will be featured on each vehicle, but we do know there will be two Jeep Renegades (Frostbite and Rip Tied) and a Ram 2500 Outdoorsman truck.

POMONA, Calif. – The 2014 Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo powered by General Tire drew more than 67,000 fans to Pomona on October 4 and 5, up more than three percent over last year. Fans braved the Southern California heat to check out the hottest collection of off-road vehicles, products and accessories. From Red Bull motocross trials to hands-on off-road ride and drives, the annual event showcased 325 exhibitors, seven interactive demos and more than 10 acres of hands-on off-road fun, at Fairplex.
“The weekend was packed with off-road enthusiasts from all over the country and we are thrilled with the increased fan and exhibitor turnout this year,” said Off-Road Expo Marketing Manager Jessica Kirchner. “Both attendees and exhibitors were extremely pleased with this year’s event and we’re all looking forward to next year’s expo, set to take place October 3 and 4, 2015.”

BFGoodrich recently unveiled its newest all-terrain tire, the T/A KO2. Not long ago, Toyo Tires brought a new off-road tire to the market in the all-new Open Country R/T. We’ve had a chance to put the tire to the test ourselves and came away impressed (check out the review link below). As Toyo notes, the tire is designed for off-road performance blended with on-road comfort. The R/T is essentially made to be more in line with a mud-terrain in terms of off-road performance but more like an all-terrain in terms of being quieter and smoother on the highway than a mud tire.
