Chandler, AZ — After collaborating to create the DragonFire by Weller Racing performance kits. Corry Weller will be contesting the 2016 Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series short course races in Arizona and California as well as select Best In The Desert events as part of Team DragonFire. The new team made its debut at the LOORRS event on Valentine’s Weekend at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Arizona.
Ultra4 has released the official results for today’s UTV King of the Hammers race. Compared to last year, quite a few more vehicles crossed the finish line and completed the race in time, with 21 racers finishing this year compared to last year’s whopping three.
Blake Van de Loo is still the official winner, and not much changed with the top five. Of the official finishers, only two racers were penalized, and it wasn’t for any deceptive moves. Arctic Cat teammates Sheldon Creed and Robby Gordon were both penalized 135 minutes for, according to Ultra4 officials, “unintentionally short-coursing the course,” or in other words, they missed a chunk of the course.
It actually appears to be nothing more than an honest mistake. Neither Creed or Gordon had GPS units equipped in their vehicles, and while heading toward one of the pits, Creed bypassed a section. Gordon was chasing him down as both were still in contention for the race, but unfortunately they both missed a chunk of the course. Ultra4 officials took the average of five different racers completing the section and deemed it to be 27 minutes, and the penalty by Ultra4 rule is five times that amount to equal 135 minutes.
In the end, Creed and Gordon’s mistake were thought to be unintentional in nature and sound far worse the penalty would indicate. Below are the official results of the finisher’s from today’s race. For more, check out the race recap here.

Chandler, AZ — Feeling the need for speed? Pure performance is the name of the game for Yamaha’s hot new YXZ1000R, so we thought it was time to help accelerate to RacePace! DragonFire is pleased to announce the popular “Flying V” bar joins our ever expanding range of products for the new Yamaha YXZ1000R.
Chandler, AZ — There is an old ad slogan that claims “power is nothing without control” — and in the case of the new YXZ1000R, we definitely agree! DragonFire has developed a billet quick-release hub and offers a range of steering wheel options to keep Yamaha’s big-bore YXZ1000R sport UTV firmly in control. As an added bonus, the quick-release feature also acts as a theft deterrent.
Chandler, AZ — There is no question that Yamaha’s new YXZ 1000R is a game changer! From the 998cc triple to the 5-speed sequential close ratio transmission, this machine lives up to its billing as the first “Pure Sports” Side-X-Side ever produced. But for such a purpose-built weapon, DragonFire did find it curious that simple 3-point automotive style lap belt — with no padding — was utilized! For a machine that is intended to be race-ready the lack of proper restraints is problematic… not to mention illegal in many sanctioned competition events!
Chandler, AZ — Yamaha purposely built the new Yamaha YXZ1000R to be a no-compromise “Pure Sports” machine. That is music to DragonFire’s ears! This company was founded on desert racing roots and we still feel the need for speed! In the case of racing, less is more, which was the design brief for our new RacePace front bumper for the Yamaha YXZ 1000R!
