HANSON JL Bumper

HANSON Front Bumper for Wrangler JL

Despite Jeep hawking 200+ items out of their new Mopar catalog, the aftermarket remains anxious to grab a piece of the JL pie. Off-road company HANSON put on their boots and created a unit that’s a bit shorter than stock, allowing for max flex and wheel clearance.

Available in bare orpowdercoated steel, this bumper is crafted from 3/16” steel and features a 2” drop deck on which one can mount a winch. Cutouts are present allowing airflow to Jeep’s new turbocharged engine and accommodation is provided for either factory driving or aftermarket lights. Built in America, the bumper is designed not to mess with approach and departure angles.

Webasto Black Forest Trail Oven Warmer

You can’t tell us we’re the only ones who’ve wrapped a couple of burritos in tinfoil and tucked them under the hood near a manifold for a tasty snack further down the trail. Besides, stopping to build a fire takes up valuable drive time and daylight. Who’s got time for that?

Enter the $99 Black Forest Trail Oven Warmer. Repurposing the thermal dynamics of the Wrangler JK’s manifold, the all-aluminum Trail Oven Warmer efficiently reheats precooked food after the lid closes on its large heating compartment. The Trail Oven Warmer installs in less than 10 minutes and can be easily removed for cleaning. The product is compatible with all JK models with 3.6L engines and sure beats dripping Sriracha sauce onto a hot exhaust.

Baja Designs Angled Flush Mount-2

Baja Designs Angled Flush Mount Light

The “Scientists of Lighting” designed the Angled Flush Mount Lights to easily mount to any flat surface. It’s available in Sport (2260 lumens) and Pro (4900 lumens) versions. Both will likely light up the dark side of the moon.

Be prepared to drill a couple of holes, including a 3/8” crevice for the power cord and a couple of 1/4” spaces for the mounting bolts. Great for chase trucks, camper shells, or tow vehicles, this compact burst of light could be just the ticket when setting up base camp after the sun goes down.

RR JK Seat covers

Rugged Ridge Elite Ballistic Heated Seat Covers

The desert gets chilly at night, and not all of us had the foresight to spec our JK Wranglers with heated seats at the dealership. Rugged Ridge has it covered, no pun intended, with these aftermarket seat covers with a set of heaters baked right in.

These durable covers are made of the same material in Rugged Ridge’s other high-end seat covers. Featuring a three-position switch built right into the seat cover, JK owners can dial in their preferred level of comfort without having to find space on the dash for another switch. A set of these will run you $440.

RR JK antenna trim

Rugged Ridge Elite Styling Products for JK Wrangler

A good many off-roaders believe a bit of non-functional style is every bit as important as a well sorted suspension, and who are we to argue? RR’s Elite Styling line offers bits and baubles for the JK Wrangler, all of which feature lightweight aluminum construction.

Want a vibrant red powder-coated aluminum antenna base? They have it for $26.99. Looking for textured black die-cast aluminum hardtop removal knobs to replace broken factory units? No problem, they’re right this way for $53.99. In fact, RR is likely to have aluminum replacement parts for just about every trim piece on the JK, fuel caps and hood dress-up kits included.

JK Body Armor

Rugged Ridge Wrangler JK Body Armor

Also from Rugged Ridge is a new line of steel body armor for 07-17 Wranglers. Designed with the off-road Jeep enthusiast in mind, new Steel Body Armor Cladding is built from heavy-duty three-millimeter thick steel plate to provide a high level of protection.

Each section of armor cladding is treated to a durable black powder coat to guard them against rust, corrosion, and other threats the trail tosses at your ride. Stainless button-head hardware attaches the armor securely to the body and allows for a quick install. You’ll have to drill some holes but, in a fit of real-world practicality, the $266.99 armor is compatible with OE fender flares.
