Silverado-Performance-Concept

Chevrolet has once again rolled out a number of custom concepts at SEMA to show off its capabilities.

Leading the pack is the Silverado Performance concept packing a supercharged 5.3-liter V8, cranking power up by 100 horses to around 450 hp. Front six-piston Brembo brakes and a cat-back exhuast have also been added to control the power better.

All that power is sent to 22-inch performance tires while the style comes from the Satin Steel Gray exterior, unique hood and air ducts, body-color grille surrounds, smoked lights, carbon-fiber Z71 gauges and a black suede-wrapped steering wheel.

Next is the Silverado 3500HD NHRA Safety Safari Concept. It’s ready to keep drag racers safe with fire suppression equipment, a bed-mounted aluminum frame, strobe lights and tools like shovels, brooms, jacks and oil absorbent material. Style comes from a black exterior, black bumpers and chrome bars in the black mesh grille.

Chevy usually pairs with a celebrity each year for one concept, and this year it was country music star Luke Bryan, who outfitted a custom Chevy Suburban to go hunting and fishing with. It features a mesh grille, black tubular side steps, roof rack rail, black bowties, a Thule Canyon roof basket, roof-mounted lights from Baja Designs, roof-mounted fishing rod holder and a swing-out tailgate with spare tire mount.

Inside, Chevy pumps up the volume with a Kicker stereo system, black and two-tone olive and orange accents, argon piping, custom-trimmed steering wheel, a set of concept rear-facing seats in the back and a new re-trimmed headliner in Light Platinum Taffeta.

To help get to the stream, the Suburban gets 22-inch wheels, 35-inch tires, a suspension lift, lower skidplate extensions and orange tow hooks. Under the hood, the 5.3-liter V8 gets a cold-air intake and a six-piston Brembo brake upgrade in the front.
