Anyone who’s ever raced in Baja will tell you that you battle the race course as much as the other racers. Wayne Matlock is a multi-time champion ATV racer who recently switched to piloting UTVs, and at this year’s SCORE Baja 1000 Matlock gave a perfect example of maintaining the will to win in Baja. After losing his right front tire while leading the race, Matlock and his co-driver managed to limp the machine to the finish with only three wheels and earn a second place in class and fourth place overall.
