High surf pounded the West Coast a week ago, and one pickup truck owner thought he needed to get a closer look at the action. So he drove his truck on the north jetty in Humboldt Bay in Northern California to check out the massive waves pounding into the rocks and, of course, his plan didn’t end up going over so well.

After taking a beating from oncoming waves and nearly getting his truck washed away in the waves, his truck appeared unable to drive. So the Coast Guard ended up flying in to airlift the driver off of the jetty (and the bill probably wasn’t cheap!). Who knows why this guy thought any of this was a good idea, but enjoy his his dumb decision and ensuing crazy adventure.
