It’s no secret that Jeep’s next-generation Wrangler is right around the corner (and a pickup version, to boot), but before we see the new JL Wrangler later next year Automotive News is reporting that Jeep is sending off its landscape-shaping JK Wrangler with a bang by offering a number of limited-edition models next month and into next year.

The first two models Jeep will offer were initially unveiled in a November dealer ordering book and will go on sale in December, and those models include the 2017 Wrangler Sport Freedom edition and 2017 Wrangler Sahara Winter edition. As Automotive News reports, Wrangler sales in the U.S. are on the decline for the first time since the recession in the late 2000s, as consumers are likely waiting for he new JL, which is rumored to offer a diesel and four-cylinder turbo power train on the next-gen Wrangler.

According to the brochure, the Wrangler Sport Freedom edition will feature Freedom star decals on the hood and rear fender, along with an American flag decal on the driver side front bumper. The Freedom will come fitted with 18-inch Sahara mid-gloss granite crystal wheels, a new rear heavy-duty cast differential cover, black fuel filter cover and taillamp guards. The Wrangler Sport Freedom will have a starting MSRP of $30,690 for the two-door model, while the four-door Unlimited version will have an MSRP of $34,590 (both prices include shipping costs).

The Wrangler Sahara Winter edition will comes with new LED headlamps and fog lamps (maybe a nod to the LEDs we’ve seen on JL prototypes). The Winter edition will also feature a standard remote start on the automatic transmission version,  rock rails and a standard hard top (with color matching as an option). Decals will be featured on the hood, driver side fender and rear fender, along with other badging and accents. The MSRP for the Winter edition will be $37,440 for the two-door Wrangler Sahara Winter edition and $41,240 for the four-door Wrangler Unlimited Sahara Winter edition (again, both prices include shipping).

More special edition versions will be available later in 2017, which Automotive News is reporting will include a Sport Big Bear edition, a Sahara Chief edition, a Sahara Smoky Mountain edition, and a Rubicon Recon edition (which will replace the Rubicon Hard Rock when it ends production in February).
