Off-Road-Expo-Logo-10-2-12INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The off-road nation came together last weekend at Fairplex in Pomona, Calif., to celebrate life off-road at the Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo powered by General Tire.

More than 73,000 fans were drawn to Southern California Oct. 1 and 2, 2016, to visit with more than 350 exhibitors showcasing the hottest products in off-road, participate in high-horsepower racing demos, meet racing celebrities and ride along on the off-road obstacle course in rigs equipped for the Rubicon Trail.

Off-Road Expo fan and industry attendance has continued to grow the last few years. With more than 10 acres of demos, exhibitors and experiences for the off-road enthusiast, Off-Road Expo is truly “Where The Off-Road Nation Comes Together.” This year’s event was the most heavily attended in years.

Fans witnessed the power of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series with high-horsepower, high-flying Pro 2, Pro Lite and Kart racing demos all weekend.  Attendees also enjoyed the Rubicon Experience, an off-road ride along with professional drivers in Pro Comp, Rubicon Express and Smittybilt Jeeps equipped for the toughest trail in the United States, the Rubicon Trail.  Fans rode along in DragonFire Racing Side by Side with racing champions Lacrecia Beurrier and Corry Weller and also witnessed the SCORE International / Baja 1000 Course Map unveiling and more.  Poison Spyder Girl, Taylor Nemeth, was crowned Miss Off-Road Expo 2016 in the contest held on Sunday at the Bud Light Stage.  Taking second place was Miss Dragonfire Racing, Emily Dobrzenski, and in third place was Heather Scheiffele.

The event was also marked by appearances and autograph signings by more than 40 of the industry’s top professional racers and personalities of today and yesterday including Rob MacCachren, Patrick Clark, Brian Deegan, Larry Roeseler, Rob MacCachren, Gus ‘Tavo’ Vildosola Jr., Bryce Menzies, Casey Currie, Ivan “Ironman” Stewart, BJ Baldwin, Walker Evans, Rod Hall, Shannon Campbell and more.

The second edition of the Off-Road Gear Guide was distributed to fans and industry on-site at the event.  The Guide is an annual publication dedicated to showcasing industry trends and the latest products and innovations from top manufacturers. Bonnier Corp., the producer of Off-Road Expo, will present the Spring Edition Off-Road Expo powered by Nitto Tire in Scottsdale, Ariz.,at Westworld on March 18 and 19, 2017.  The 2017 fall edition, Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo powered by General Tire, will take place Saturday, Sept. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 1 at Fairplex, located at 1101 W. McKinley Avenue in Pomona, Calif.
