British automaker Land Rover teased its new 2017 Discovery SUV recently, showing off the front end of the new large SUV prior to its official unveil at the 2016 Paris Motor Show later this month.

The seven-seat Land Rover Discovery SUV will be fully unveiled at its world premiere on September 28 in Paris Motor Show, and while we get a glimpse of the new large SUV there isn’t much detail that accompanies this first look. The Discovery will join the smaller Discovery Sport in the U.S. market, and it will replace the LR4 nameplate in the North American market.

As our sister site AutoGuide.com detailed when spy photographers captured shots of the Discovery while testing, the Discovery will shed its boxy profile for a rounder, sleeker profile.

“The new Discovery redefines the large SUV,” said Gerry McGovern, Land Rover chief design officer. “Land Rover’s design and engineering teams have revolutionized the Discovery DNA to create a highly desirable, extremely versatile and hugely capable premium SUV.”
