– Polaris Industries (NYSE: PII) is issuing a stop-ride/stop-sale advisory, pending a formal recall, for MY2016 RZR Turbo off-road vehicles, due to a potential fire hazard.

Polaris is currently evaluating a comprehensive repair solution. Once validated, repair instructions will be issued to Polaris dealers and vehicle owners will be notified that they can contact their dealer about scheduling a free repair. Until then, owners should not ride, and dealers should not sell, MY2016 RZR Turbo models.

All owners of affected RZR Turbo vehicles are being contacted directly. In addition, updates will be posted on the RZR Recall page: http://www.polaris.com/en-us/company/rzr-recall.

Owners can also contact Polaris at 800-765-2747 or online at www.polaris.com.

They should recall all years and models. This company makes the most loud, obnoxious, and annoying vehicles.

I always find it funny that phone numbers are posted in stories like these. Letters are sent out. Calling the manufacturer isn’t going to make things happen faster. Parts will be supplied or updates applied when they are ready. The thing that people hate is not riding for the next 3-5 weeks as a solution evolves and a remedy is given to the dealers. Patience is what people need. They won’t have it but they need it. Engineering a way out of a problem happens all the time.
