Ram and Mopar collectively announced today that it will offer the Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel, a limited-edition truck that will be fitted with Mopar performance parts and accessories. And if you want one, you better act fast.

Mopar and Ram say that only 500 ’16 Mopar Ram Rebel trucks will be available. It is also the first limited-edition “Mopar-modified” vehicle specifically designed for the truck segment. What sets the truck apart is a Mopar Custom Shop package that includes an aluminum, dual bezel sport performance hood embellished that features a matte-black hood graphic. More aggressive-looking wheel flares give the truck an off-road look. One of the most distinguishable features on the truck is a special Mopar blue-and-black graphic stripe on both sides and the tailgate off the Mopar ’16, as well as the tailgate.

The Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel also features a skid plate to offer trail protection to the power steering box (it’s also black instead of silver like the standard Ram Rebel). More blacked-out features are found with the 17-inch satin black wheels, and the package is rounded out a serialized Mopar ’16 glove box badge and a set of stainless-steel door sill guards.

The Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel will be powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI engine paired with Ram’s eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The truck features the other offering such as transfer case and front suspension skid plates, black tubular side steps, spray-on bedliner and a tri-fold tonneau cover emblazoned with the Ram logo. Mopar also notes that optional parts and accessories are available at the dealership “for those who want to take personalization of the Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel to the next level.”

The Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel starts with the Ram 1500 4×4 Rebel Crew Cab, built at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant in Warren, Michigan. Two color options will be available: Flame Red/Brilliant Black two-tone or Brilliant Black monotone.

The Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel is delivered with a custom owner’s kit that features Mopar ’16 merchandise, a brochure and a unique metal birth certificate that highlights truck specifications, date of manufacture and the proprietary number. Kit contents are stored in an attractive case and packaged in a Ram-branded tool bag.

The limited-edition vehicle will be available in both the U.S. and Canada, with a U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) starting at $52,460. The Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel will arrive at select dealerships in the summer.
