Ford-Super-Duty-Camper-Testing-5-11-16
If you’re even wanted to see how close a heavy-duty truck can come to rolling without actually trying it yourself, then this new Ford Super Duty video is worth a few minutes of your break today.

To simulate hauling a camper, Ford loaded up its 2017 F-Series Super Duty with a fabricated device designed to mimic a camper weighing more than 7,500 pounds that’s loaded with water, gear, fuel, etc. Ford then took the truck on its proving ground course in Arizona to put the truck through its paces in both low- and high-speed lane changes, slalom runs and more.

The testing is all in an effort to dial in Ford’s new Roll Stability Control for the Super Duty, which is a new safety system that monitors 10 sensors at 100 times per second. In the end, as Ford puts it, they want to make sure Super Duty owners are “happy campers.”
