Jerett-Brooks-General-Tire-Lucas-Oil-4-26-16Fort Mill, S.C. – Eighteen-year-old Jerett Brooks dominated the race weekend at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park in Lake Elsinore, Calif., earning his first two wins of the 2016 Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series season. The wins brought his total to 13 wins in only four Pro Lite Unlimited seasons.

For Round 3 on Saturday, Brooks led the field from the pole in his Rigid Industries / General Tire #77 and survived six restarts to hold on for the impressive win.

A relieved and jubilant Brooks was beyond excited after the race.

“The track dried out more than I expected,” he said. “After starting on the pole and getting into turn 1, I never looked back. It was a very nerve-racking race after having so many cautions and having to gap out the rest of the field. I’m super pumped to get a win for the General team. These General Grabbers hooked up whenever I need them.”

On Sunday for Round 4, Brooks once again showed his strength by leading the entire race and relying on his General Grabber MT tries to keep him out in front of the competition.

Once again, Brooks was thrilled to be standing in the center of the podium to end the weekend.

“Today’s race was very similar to Saturday’s,” Brooks said. “I started outside front row and got a good start and didn’t look back. The track had a lot of moisture in it so I was able to run my preferred lines down low. We had 4 or 5 cautions and I knew I had to stay smooth and make no mistakes because all these guys want to win just as badly as I do.  It was a huge confidence booster for my team to get the win both days.”

Travis Roffler, director of marketing for General Tire, was very pleased with the weekend’s results.

“Jerett displayed why we want him on our team,” he said. “His driving ability and patience during a race are impressive.  He allowed the races to come to him and did not use up his equipment.  We are thrilled to sweep the weekend at Lake Elsinore.”
