Joe-Heck-Nevada-1-14-16
The Trail Political Action Committee (TPAC) works to elect federal candidates who will support legislation and policy promoting and protecting responsible off-highway vehicle recreation on public and private lands.  TPAC is proud to announce its official endorsement and support for Joe Heck running for election to the U.S. Senate in Nevada.

Keith Serpa, Owner of Carson Motorsports, states, “Outdoor trail enthusiasts in Nevada need a strong voice back in Washington D.C. to help champion responsible OHV recreation on designated roads, trails and areas in the Silver State.  Users and recreation-related small businesses depend on access to public lands.  Congressman Heck has been a strong supporter of managed recreational opportunities and it will be good to have him in the Senate.”

Congressman Heck supported H.R. 999, more commonly known as the RIDE Act that would require the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to postpone proposed mandates for off-road, side-by-side vehicles (ROVs) until those proposals have been studied and evaluated by government scientific organizations.  That legislation followed the CPSC’s rejection of a bipartisan request that the CPSC work cooperatively with the ROV industry and other stakeholders.

Congressman Heck states, “Nevada’s economy depends on access to high-quality outdoor recreational activities.  Off-road recreation is a critical element of that fiscal equation. I look forward to being a strong advocate for all forms of recreation such as hunting, OHV, hiking, fishing, equestrians, rock collectors, and mountain biking. As a U.S. Senator, I will continue to fight against unreasonable federal land restrictions and mandates that restrict public access to federal lands.”

TPAC believes this battleground race is critical to help us retain our pro-trail majority in the U.S. Senate.  TPAC wants to join forces with other pro-trail voters in Nevada in an effort to send Heck to the Senate on November 8.

Joe Heck is TPAC’s 3rd officially endorsed senate race in the 2016 election cycle.

TPAC wants to express our heartfelt thanks to all of you who are supporting our efforts in 2016.

Thanks again for your continued support in the 2016 presidential election.  You are making a difference!
