BRIGHTON, Mich.
– Lingenfelter Performance Engineering is opening up a new off-road performance world for half-ton GM pickup owners by offering a long-travel suspension system as a bolt-on kit for 2014 and newer Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500s – both 2wd and 4x4s.

Developed by Lingenfelter, in conjunction with RideTech and Fox Racing Shocks, the new Long-Travel Suspension System kit increases wheel travel by approximately 25 percent over stock, greatly improving off-road performance while maintaining on-road drivability.

The kit provides a three-inch lift with self-adjusting, remote-reservoir Fox Racing Performance Series shocks and struts specifically tuned for either 2WD or 4WD Silverado/Sierra 1500 applications. The Fox remote-reservoir shocks instantly adjust their internal valving to both driving style and terrain to give optimum suspension control and ride quality.

The Long-Travel Suspension system also includes heavy-duty, custom-fabricated tubular upper control arms, heavy-duty, high-angled ball joints, and rear lift blocks with new mounting hardware. The kit can be installed by the average DIYer in as little as four hours.

This kit gives Silverado and Sierra 1500s a total of 9.2 inches of travel in the front and 11.2 inches in the rear, significantly improving both on- and off-road performance, drivability and overall handling.

“What’s exciting about our new Long-Travel Suspension kits is you can still tow your boat and pick your kids up from school in a truck that instills both confidence and comfort,” says Ken Lingenfelter, owner, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. “We created this suspension package to allow Chevy 1500 owners to run hard off-road on the weekends while enhancing the ride quality of daily driving during the week.”

The LPE Long-Travel Suspension System carries a one year warranty on the components.
