We were fortunate to get a few sneak peeks of some of Toyota’s coolest concept trucks and SUVs leading up to the 2015 SEMA Show, but getting to see the Tonka 4Runner concept vehicle up close was a special treat – this thing is giant!

Toyota teamed with Funrise Toy Corporation, the manufacturer of Tonka toys for the Hasbro brand, to build a life-size Tonka SUV with the theme of “the ultimate off-road adventure.”  The Tonka 4Runner sits quite a ways off the ground thanks to a 10-inch Bulletproof Suspension lift kit. It’s massive ground clearance is only heightened more with 20-inch Ultra Motorsports Type 250 Colossus wheels that are fitted with 38-inch Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ tires. The Tonka SUV also sports  Rigid Industries LED lights over each wheel to make the yellow-and-black 4Runner visible whether it’s day or night.

The custom suspension of the Tonka 4Runner features King 8×2.5-inch and 10×2.5-inch coilovers, as well as a host of additional Bulletproof Suspension components. Bulletproof also designed the vehicle’s welded bumpers, roof rack, side steps and ladders.
