Team-DynaMax-Racing-Off-Road-9-30-15Monroe, MI – Team DynoMax finished the 2015 ULTRA4 season on top, with driver Levi Shirley becoming the 2015 ULTRA4 National Champion following the 4 Wheel Parts Nitto National Championship in Reno, Nev. Fellow Team DynoMax driver Loren Healy won the National Championship race, earning the West Coast Champion title. Wayland Campbell finished third in overall points for the season, while in the 4500 class, Justin Hall was named National Champion.

In all, 120 teams competed across seven classes at Wild West Motorsports Park. In the 4400 class, nine of the top 10 finishers were part of Team DynoMax. In addition to Healy’s first-place finish, Jason Scherer placed second and Erik Miller was third following a late, sideways pass that knocked Clay Gilstrap to fourth place. Shirley finished fifth, earning enough points to win the season-long title.

“Team DynoMax had an amazing season, from the King of the Hammers through the weekend’s National Championship,” said Chris Gauss, director, performance products, Tenneco. “We are proud of all of our drivers and how they performed and represented Team DynoMax all year long.”

Shannon Campbell – with his new car, Dragon Slayer – challenged Healy’s Red Dragon racecar, but came up short, finishing sixth. JP Gomez was eighth, Wayland Campbell ninth and Andrew McLaughlin 10th in the National Championship race.

While Hall won the 4500 class race, Shawn Rants finished second for Team DynoMax. Matt Peterson won the 4600 stock class, his final race as he retires from ULTRA4 racing.

For the year, Team DynoMax claimed 12 podium finishes in the 4400 class, including five first-place finishes. Team DynoMax also had two first-place finishes in both the 4500 and 4600 classes. Throughout the 2015 season, many Team DynoMax racers ran the DynoMax® Race Bullet muffler. The Race Bullet muffler is designed for vehicles with limited space, and features a compact, round, straight-through design for maximum exhaust flow and power. The aluminized or stainless steel design leads to longer life and can flow in any direction.
