Travis Dinsmore and his Sleco Atturo Tire Aeromotive PRO-Light made history with the team’s first professional level race win. Throughout the first half of the TORC Series season, Dinsmore has been very fast and during Round 8 every aspect of their team was working perfectly as the team celebrated with a victory.

After three weekends of short technical layouts, the TORC Series presented by AMSOIL headed back the “Big House” for high flying, high speed racing on the 1.7 mile Crandon Raceway.

The practice and qualifying session saw the Sleco Atturo Tire Aeromotive PRO-Light turn the fast lap putting him next to Luke Johnson on the front row.

When the racing began, Dinsmore grabbed the lead with Johnson right on his bumper. The two hard chargers held the top spots right to the mandatory yellow. When racing resumed theĀ  young guns continued to battle door to door. With three laps to go, Johnson made a bold move to take the lead. Then on the final lap, Dinsmore made on final charge heading for the finish hoping regain the top spot. Both trucks ended off the track but their momentum helped hold their positions as Dinsmore finished in second.

Overnight the team made a few adjustments as the team knew that they had the PRO-Light truck that the rest of the field would have to follow.

That feeling carried over right at the start of Sunday’s Round 8. The opening lap saw Travis take the lead and quickly opened up a substantial gap on the rest of the field. After the field was grouped back together at the mandatory caution, Dinsmore continued to hold his ground for the final four laps of the race. When the checkered flag came out, Travis Dinsmore had won his first PRO-Light race of his career.

“Our team has been working so hard, and we’ve come close to winning a couple times, but one time I caught rut and another time we had a slight mechanical issue, but we never gave up. I have to thank Jeff Sleegers and Sleco for putting this effort together and giving me this opportunity to race this truck. The support from my family is just incredible as well as the people that come out every race weekend to help support our team. Our sponsors, companies like Sleco, Atturo Tire, and Aeromotive along with VP Racing Fuels, Ultra Wheels, Lucas Oil, Allstar Performance, Ron Davis Racing Products, Yukon Gear & Axle, Dynamic Manufacturing, Cool-It Thermo Tec, Mud Muncher, and PIAA as their support is just as important when creating a winning race team. Now I’m really excited to get to Charlotte.”

The next TORC Series presented by AMSOIL event is only ten days away. Don’t miss “Showdown in Charlotte” July 10-11, at The Dirt Track @ Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina.
